From what we have seen ur lead has to be at least level 10, and enemies only drop trophies if they are within 3-5 levels of u @rescue

So i was a bit of a stat nerd and started figuring out what percentage of each biome is made up of the different encounters needed and came up with a quick list:

Biome: (non small canines) + (non fox small canines) (+Arctic/Swift/Gray/Red)

Glacier: 16 + 1 (+ A)
Tundra: 20 + 1 (+ A) (+ R)
Taiga: 18 + 1 (+ R)
C. Forest: 16 + 2 (+ R)
Mountains: 19 + 2 (+ R)
Grasslands: 14 + 2 (+ G) (+ R)
D. Forest: 12 + 2 (+ G) (+ R)
R. Woodland: 13 + 2 (+ G) (+ R)
Prairie: 12 + 4 (+ S) (+ G) (+ R)
Desert: 18 + 2 (+ G)
Swamp: 15 + 2 (+ G) (+ R)
Rainforest: 16 + 1 (+ G) (+ R)

Glacier: 12% SC, 6% Fox
Tundra: 13% SC, 9% Fox, 4% R Fox
Taiga: 10% SC, 5% R Fox
C. Forest: 16% SC, 5% R Fox
Mountains: 14% SC, 5% R Fox
Grasslands: 22% SC, 12% Fox 6% R/G Fox
D. Forest: 25% SC, 12% Fox, 6% R/G Fox
R. Woodland: 24% SC, 12% Fox, 6% G/R Fox
Prairie: 37% SC, 15% Fox, 5% G/R Fox
Desert: 14% SC, 5% G Fox
Swamp: 21% SC, 10% Fox, 5% G/R Fox
Rainforest: 16% SC, 10% Fox, 5% G/R Fox

Took a look at some of the closer values like the red&gray foxes for the grasslands, d. forest, and r. woodlands and came up with these results:

Best "Small Canine": Prairie 36.84%
Best "Fox": Prairie 15.79%
Best "Gray Fox": D. Forest 6.25%
Best "Red Fox": D. Forest 6.25%

TL:DR;

Best place to get the Recipes and Canine Claws/Fangs may be the Prairie

Best place to get both Red & Gray Fox Pelts/Tails may be the Deciduous Forest

Honestly the margins are so small that if youre in any place with 5+ fox encounters youre doing good. This is just a statistical look at the encounter tables and relies on them all having a flat encounter rate, and not having different rarity chances. So basically, take this with a grain of salt, if what youre doing works for you, keep doing it lol.

Information on encounter data was gathered from Skudde's guides, but the small canine data was replaced by the info up on the discord.
