Posted 2021-09-15 12:10:01 #523197 I don't mind whether this feature gets implemented as I can keep playing without immortalizing wolves. However, I have read feedback here and realized a lot of players invested in customizing their leads before realizing they meet an inevitable death as they cannot be immortalized. Then I noticed there was no in-game information that lead wolves cannot be immortalized except for the news where new players don't read. If this feature doesn't get implemented, don't leave players misinformed that Jellyfish can be applied to any wolf generally describing this item. The item description should include that lead wolves cannot be immortalized. Some of the other grove items give enough substantial information about which wolves can be applied with them. Jellyfish just lets us know that we need an immortal slot so later we realize it becomes a GC waste if we don't plan to use the immortal slot for anywolf else.

Posted 2021-09-17 18:39:24 #525112 No support, I think its best our leads die after retirement so our newer leads have a "legacy" to look up to, I feel as if we should let them have them force retire at 7, 5 1/2 and have them live till they die afterwards

This was actually one of the reasons I abandoned the game for many many months, in hopes this would be a feature later on. She was my very first wolf on here, and has an ID below 2000, and I'll probably take a break again before she dies, just to wait and hope for a way to make her immortal. (Not as a lead wolf, obviously, I understand that that'd be a bit much.)

He's extremely sentimental to me, as Im sure other player's leads are to them. I didn't realize that couldn't happen. Hope this gets implemented before our wolves get too old !!

Posted 2021-09-25 17:18:10 (edited) #530551 total support for this. i've been playing a few months, under the assumption that when i make my lead wolf immortal, he just won't be able to breed but can stay lead wolf. so once i found this out, i was really bummed out. at the risk of sounding dramatic it kinda kills the appeal of the game for me, since i've thrown a lot of money into it (and my lead wolf) with that said, i feel like i'll honestly be taking a break and no longer keep putting money into the game/making customs/etc since if i check the game it's just one step closer to my lead dying and i had hoped to keep him as my leader permanently. a lot of folks put heaps of effort into their leads, with art/lore/etc and it kinda blows when you realize they're designated to die/no longer be lead edit: to be clear, i would prefer it if you could maybe pay extra for an option to *keep* them as the lead wolf while immortal. i had hoped to keep my lead as my lead wolf permanently, or until i decided otherwise

I know not everyone plays the same way, but giving this choice to players that want it hurts nothing imo. I personally love my lead and want her to be in charge until I maybe decide otherwise. At the very least I would like to have her around in the pack if she can't lead anymore. With how things currently are, taking a hiatus and not buying anymore gc is probably the route I'll take as well.

Posted 2021-11-20 17:04:01 #565305 HUGE SUPPORT! I completely forgot you couldn't immortalize your lead, and I bought custom decor JUST for my current lead (Evadne), due to lore reasons. Once she dies, not only will she lose the decor but it'll be hard to see her. Which, in lore, she essentially becomes a ghost, a state of not death but not alive. Sort of immortal. Anways, I got off track. It feels very cheap to be able to buy custom decor and put so much effort into your lead but not be able to immortalize them. I 100% support the idea of kicking them off lead and such, as I get why it wasn't implemented in the first place but I would love to keep my lead, and any possible future leads as theyre important to my lore!
