The Problem With Silver Cones
Posted 2023-07-31 08:41:45 (edited)
The problem is simply that there is a huge imbalance between the spending of SC and the earning back said SC. If you are not grinding for cones 24/7, the rate at which players might spend cones is difficult to recover from by just playing the game normally. Just highlighting this because it's the bulk of the issue I'm personally having. Gain vs cost of individual items and breeding fees. If I don't have to buy things, I'm okay. It's when I have to buy that suddenly I'm hurting. Another thing I'm also starting to see is that there's literally no way to make money off your pups unless they're a T2 or T3 base, which is kind of... I dunno, maybe a tad ridiculous? This was posted in 2021 but it's still true today. And if your pups aren't G3 or lower, good luck, even if they aren't inbred. So that's another avenue of earning that's diminished, and for newer players, it's not accessible easily. To have good wolves, you have to buy good wolves. To buy good wolves, you need a reliable way to earn enough SC, and then be able to afford breeding them, which aren't easy or obvious to new players. So the difficulty curve starting out is really bad. It wasn't until nearly a month into playing steadily that I was told selling amusement toys are one of the best ways to earn money here. I would never have figured that out on my own. I just figured everyone was drowning in them. Just wish some "quirks" here weren't brushed off as "well it's hard for beginners, just gotta get good with some things" when there's kind of clearly a problem with gaining SC and how easy it seems to just buy GC instead. Pointing this out because really, it is a toxic mindset. 'Git Gudder' mentality only harms. This site lacks a proper wiki in the top right like LD has, and most new players don't know about the Grouse House guides so they can educate themselves. A lot of people on games like these have difficulty asking for help, so without readily available help resources provided by the site themselves, things can be even harder. It would be so beneficial if - bare minium - the devs finished the wiki just enough to add a "Getting Started Guide" that covered a lot of these things. |

They should definitely make the Grouse guide easier to find when I help out new players I always tell them to bookmark it so they can always find it. If I was able to get good wolves right off the bat what would be the point in trying to get the more valuable bases, marking if it was so easy to get? When you are new to anything you have to have a learning curve. I can't run out on a basketball court and expect to be an all-star without putting in a little work. (Which you can in the giveaway chat. I have found a lot of very neat and good wolves there, high stats, rare marking, etc.) |

If only one thing changed, I just want fights to drop a small amount of SC. Most fights don't give me anything but EXP. I don't want anymore talents. I'm at level 19 and I have all the talents that benefit me. But I have to fight to get trophies to craft things. Most fights don't give me trophies. Which mean for me, fights are a waste of energy that could be spent trying to find SC. But if I don't fight, I can't find trophies. And trophies cost a lot of SC. I hope you see how it becomes a circular problem that ALWAYS comes back to not having SC. |

it also baffles me that the raccoon wares has a limit for what amount you can sell. ONLY 250 SC??? Seriously?? you can't even get a RW decor for that. It's insane and I do not understand that choice at all. |
