The Problem With Silver Cones

Posted 2020-12-21 23:27:49

I'm starting to receive Pay-To-Win energy and that's ungood for a sim game. Not everyone wants to chose between socializing with friends or keeping your wolves from leaving. It chases people off from all the stress

I agree, feeding my wolves is becoming a problem. If the game is too hard and the only ones who get ahead all the time are regularly paying player you'll chase away the rest of your revenue. Since I can't get sc from selling my pups anymore, and i can't get much gc from selling rabbit feet I don't have much of options to keep progress moving to keep enjoying the game.

I'm 100% on board with the idea of scaling quest rewards to the difficulty level. It makes no sense to me that battling three bears is going to net me the same reward that handing in a couple of herbs and a small carcass would haha. Not to mention the investment you put in to battling quests - HP and Energy, both of which are very valuable to your lead. HP is expensive to recover as well, given what healing salves go for.

I also agree with making the raccoon wares a bit more fair, particularly because we can't have our own player shops yet.

@ iceblink, im also having the problem of keeping my pack fed

my hunting party keeps running out of hunts to do and they barely bring in anything even though their proficiencies AND synergy are 100%

ive been trying to earn SC to buy more territory slots to form more hunting parties, but that also means more mouths to feed and raccoon wares wants 150 SC for like 3 carcasses each with only 10 uses or so, which is barely enough to feed my pack

additionally all the wolves in my "sell den" i have to keep alive in hopes they bring in some cash when they finally get sold, but inevitably end up getting chased when they are almost adults as i dont have the room

ive already payed with my real life money to get GC to do a couple fun things like customizing my wolf, but i shouldnt have to pay real life money just to make sure my pack doesnt die off

I support too, not sure why they didn't add the option to increase your territory with gc after expanding to a certain amount like lioden or even just have a gc option in the first place

Definitely agree! Even though I can get a quest every day, I complete it rarely. Often I have a quest for 3 bears, and I cannot still defeat all of them or I struggle to meet them. Or I meet them when my HP are low, and healing is kinda expensive already at level 10. And I get only 100-150 SC after this...

Also territory expansion is way too expensive, agree again. Will there be any ways to increase territory not only by buying? Even if someone has only 20 territory, prices are tough.

I gave up on an idea to sell wolves, too, bc I have A LOT OF pups I don't need, but I can't sell 'em really bc no one wants them even for 1-5 SC. I think such prize is way too low, but still it doesn't help me to get rid of them, so I have to chase away...

Totally agree with OP - the currency element of the game seems unbalanced. There are plenty of significant currency sinks in the game, but not enough ways to earn enough of it daily. I feel like the snake should give more, the raccoon pay more, and I love the idea of selling wolves back to the game since the market is flooded and nobody is buying.

I think these ideas are great!

The daily quests idea is fantastic. Being able to choose one, or multiple, with known difficulty and with the quest being told to you before you accept it. Let's also say the unwanted quest stays there for...uh...a week so people aren't just grinding SC on daily quests.

The Raccoon Wares market and the Trading Center market are two completely different worlds, so either Raccoon Wares needs to catch up, or they need a limit on the Trading Center.

The explore encounters idea is fantastic as well. Putting more amounts of SC in would be great.

I do disagree with getting SC in exchange for chasing wolves, however. I think the whole purpose with chasing wolves is to save items/money. I think there should be a more effective way to show off wolves in the trading center though, like maybe a cave that shows a sample of the wolves inside, and when you refresh, different wolves show up. But, then again, being able to sell wolves would encourage more people to just get rid of their unwanted wolves instead of trying to sell a Khaki with no markings.

I think the issue with SC will be lessened once we have access to more minigames. As of right now, all we have to obtain SC are explore encounters, the TC, the raccoon, our daily quest, and the daily magpie raffle. I'm waiting for at least slots to be implemented and see how it affects things before forming a more concrete opinion on it.

I haven't really had an issue accumulating SC, either, or at least I haven't felt very fussed about having to wait multiple days to save up for new territory or things I want. Gives me something to work toward daily in a way that makes up for how the current game is so monotonous and repetitive.

I don't really like the idea of Raccoon Wares being changed. I base most of my SC prices off what the raccoon will take my items for so that my items can remain profitable to myself but also accessible to users with less SC to throw around (ie raccoon will take item for 7 SC, so I sell that item for either 2x that at 14 SC, or add SC based on its # of uses it has; it's not a lot but it does add up very fast when you get bulks of herbs, feathers and such you don't need).

I do think stuff some things can have tweaks, though. Like quests having their SC rewards properly scaled to make the harder assignments more worthwhile, or the chance of bonus rewards for certain quest types - such as trophy items if you completed a battle quest and didn't get any item drops from those fights, etc.

On the whole though I am apt to wait until more things are implemented into the game. Right now it's a challenge and struggle to get any progress due to how little there is to currently do - odds are there are things coming in the future that'll ease that problem, making any attempts at rebalancing things as they are now redundant.
