I take forever to name things. I even name my houseplants, but I wait until I can come up with the right one so sometimes it takes a while. I thought I'd post a list of names I've come up with for anybody to use or add to. Some are even names I'm using right now. I don't mind somebody else using them but I'll mark them with an * in case you do. I'm editing this periodically to add in new ones.
I also like using names that come in pairs so I can give them to paired animals like siblings or mates. I have some dogs in Minecraft named Pride and Prejudice.
Fun fact: my mom had a dog named Frog when she was a kid. |

Those are helpful. I'm sticking with Native American/ indigenous people related names due to the theme of my pack. If I can't find one, I'll look for a name that looks like it would fit with the culture even if it isn't specifically related to any tribe that I know of. |

This is a great list! I like a lot of the names there :) I don't have any specific ones to add, but I will share some methods I have used on other games! angelfire.com - "elven" style name generator, allows you to mix different prefixes and suffixes to create names, works well if you want your whole pack to have a similar vibe to their names, and has enough options to let you come up with a wide variety of names, plus they have meanings! You can roll dice or just go down the list yourself to put names together.
Obscure words - Lists of obscure words can have a lot of interesting name options - just look up any list of obscure words and find some that sound good to you. Works well for inspiration if you can't think of anything
Keysmash - Open up a blank document and go wild on your keyboard, then go through and find combinations which are vaguely pronounceable.....

I take naming seriously too. Sometimes it takes me ages to name a thing. As for wolfs and other forest themed stuff I go for welsh names. It sounds mysterious for me. Usually I take all word if it sounds good for me or changing some letters. For example: - Coedwin - from word 'coedwig' which means 'forest'. - Tylluan - means 'owl' - Doethin - means 'wise' It takes some time to find nice word but it is worht it. Effect sounds beautiful and magically. |

These^ are excellent additions. I'm going to start a new list so it doesn't look so daunting. The first one is getting longer than I expected.

Also there's this list of named rocks on Mars. They're mostly goofy. UPDATE: The Sojourner rover found two rocks in 1997 and they were named DILBERT AND DILBERT'S BOSS I CAN'T |
