Removing breeding wolves

Removing breeding wolves

When can I can remove my breeding male from being bred? I no longer want him but I don't have the GC to retire him early. How long is he a breeder for and about when would I be able to remove him from being bred without using GC? He's the only wolf that doesn't have a proper name.

You can remove your breeding male if he has not been bred that week otherwise you will have to wait until next week. If you click "settings" then from there you click "breeding male settings" you can remove him as your breeding male. He will be your breeding male until he dies or is retired but you can remove him earlier for free when he turns seven years old.

You can't retire him for free. He'll die between 7.5 and 8 years and that'll be the 'free' option.

So the only way to remove him is to pay the GC?

yep. if you wish to have a new breeding male, the only way you can do that is via GC. the only free option is after they die at 7&6months - 8 years as hollowworld said.

That's kind of unfair for new players, even since I can't pay for stuff at the moment.

Being a breeding male is supposed to be a lifetime commitment for a particular wolf, to possibly be passed to another upon his death. Therefore, the game is set up to make it very difficult to replace a breeding male. It will always cost 20gc to remove a breeding male. But if you want to do it within 30 days of having set him, you have to pay an extra 25gc, for a total of 45gc.

No, a breeding male cannot run away even if his hunger or mood reaches 0%. The only way to get rid of a breeding male before he dies is to pay.
