[ LORE ] Lupus Nocte Pack

The wolves of Lupus Nocte, currently lead by a wolf named Wander, proclaim themselves to be "Wolves of the Night", or "Night Wolves". The leader of the pack believes themselves to be "blessed by the deities of the night", and thus, touched by the stars in some way. The wolves of Lupus Nocte show particularly keen senses for operating within the darkness, and have great respect for the moon and stars— regarding them as the pawsteps of long forgotten wolf deities who once tread the earth. They seek primarily to live in peace amongst themselves and others, searching for the path to the stars.

Amaterasu the Sun Deity

Amaterasu is a well-respected deity, and believed to be the "Pack Leader" of all the wolf deities residing in the heavens. They are stated to control both the night and the day, and breathed life into wolf-kind, itself; wherever they step, they are said to leave a trail of sun-coloured flowers. Life springs up all around them.

Star-Touched — A wolf, typically the leader of the pack, who the pack believes to have been visited by those wolf deities among the stars. They are granted their title by their deity, and their rise to power is overseen by the Oracle. Sometimes these wolves could be seen as a simple connection to a deity, a blessing of a deity, or the deity re-incarnated.

Oracle — The herbalist, and typically a wolf with a particular keenness for hearing and interpreting the voices long lost to time. The oracle is close to the stars, remaining primarily by the lake side, where they may interpret the reflection of the stars more clearly. In some cases, the Oracle provides tidings of blessing, or omens, from those that lie beyond. They are often a strong second in command— and may become Star Touched— if the current dies without an heir.

Wander the Star-Touched

Wander is the current lead of Lupus Nocte; as a Star-Touched wolf, he believes to have been chosen by those great wolf deities amongst the stars to lead the wolves of the night to a safer place. It's the only way that he can interpret his dreams; as well as the strange black-furred she-wolf who lead him to the safety of the pack's mountain home, only to vanish without a trace before dawn. While food and dens run plentiful for now... It's only a matter of time before they must move once again.

Sun's Ray the Oracle

Sun's Ray joined not long after Wander began Lupus Nocte; a blind she-wolf, she spends much of her time by the lakeside— sifting and sorting through herbs, and waiting for the stars to give her their next blessing— or omen— to share with the pack.
