I have another question:

If you bred a confirmed melanism carrier with another confirmed melanism carrier, will the resulting pups all be melanism wolves?

i don't know if all the pups will be melanism. but it is possible one pup will be melanism.

the star in the upper left corner when you befriending a wolf in explore means it has a special trait. 

two gold stars means the wolf has two special traits , etc.

Hi Raven! Like Magic mentioned above the star ratings signify that there is something rare on the NBW you stumbled upon in explore. This could be anything from a TII base, unique markings, or eye colors. If you should ever see what looks like a purple shooting star, this means that the wolf was chased away by another player. Keep in mind too that certain markings can only be found on NBW's, such as Points.

I followed the link magicwhitewolf #25645 gave me & it turns out the 2 stars are for her Diorite base + Glass eyes. :)

Ooh, that's a cool combo! I've always thought the glass eyes looked super pretty.

Yes, very pretty eyes. I already had a F Diorite wolf but she doesn't have glass eyes like this new one does. Nice surprise with a NBW.
