Quick Links: Grouse House Genetics Guide | Warm Light II Females For Sale | Piasa Search | My Tombac Stud Piasa has been one of my favorite bases ever since I first played around in the Wardrobe... and now that TIII wolves are popping up from breeding, including Piasa's day-glo neighbor Tombac, it should hopefully be attainable! ...Hopefully!! I figure the best way for me to go about this right now is to collect Warm Light II ladies and breed them to warm Fox studs. It's okay if I don't end up breeding the very first Piasa wolf in-game; I'm in no particular rush, and the longer I wait, the more fresh blood will be added to the stud market as players craft more Fox applicators. Eventually I would like to end up with a nice Piasa stud unrelated to Faelor or another overbred Fox! I'm well on my way, as my own current stud is Warm Light II and has produced a few TII kids; I also have at least one Canine Claw that I can potentially bargain with for future Fox breedings. I buy Warm Light II ladies whenever I see them for a good price- although it's kind of hard to find ones that aren't already descended from Faelor or other popular studs. I'll be using this thread to keep track of my project wolves, breeding arrangements, and anything else related to the quest. Feel free to drop in and comment if you're also breeding for Piasa (good luck), or if you have any eligible TII females for sale or trade! Update 2/14: Update 3/20: |

Here are my current project wolves: *NEW* Bumblebee (Tombac):
Offspring of Sunbeam and Tombac stud Prince Arthur, he is now my breeding male and will hopefully make this project a lot shorter, or at least cheaper. He is also available for public stud (thread located here)! Caslon (Ducat): My pack's former breeding male. He's produced a few TII puppies, although not as many as I would like- but I figure I can always fall back on him as a potential source of Warm Light IIs for the cause. He has retired from studding but can still produce puppies with his non-project mate Kashua! Stinkbug (Jacinthe): The current favorite of my eligible ladies- she's 50% for TII offspring right now, and she's only gen 2! I like her chances. Cricket (Yellow): Daughter of Cas and Stinkbug, just a baby right now, but she'll be joining the cause when she ages up. Sedona (Calcite): A G2 puppo who, at the very least, will grow into a gorgeous adult. Love translucent red markings on pale bases like Calcite and Magnolia. It's almost like fake Piasa. lol Pololli (Yellow): Bleh. Merle. Fortunately I'm not worrying about markings right now, just bases and lineage. As another G2, hers is thankfully very short! Very Good fert, too, which is promising! Yellowjacket (Calcite): Daughter of Cas and non-project wolf Kashua, she will eventually be paired with Bumblebee for an ongoing chance at B/W het! Lightning Bug (Tombac): Offspring of Bumblebee and Pololli. She'll be pursuing TIII studs, wish her luck! |

Are you collecting ingredients for your own Fox applicator? Willing to offer refunded studding in exchange for claws or fangs? I currently have the following ingredients available for trade: -1 Canine Claw -1 Canine Fang -I Fox Skull ----- Do you have any Warm Light II female wolves for sale or trade? I may want to take them off your hands! Some caveats: -I am only looking for FEMALE wolves. GC spent on sex changes is less GC to pay for studs! -I am only looking for ARKOSE, CALCITE, DUCAT, JACINTHE, or YELLOW bases. -I am only looking for SHORT, CLEAN LINEAGES (no Faelor, etc. and preferably G3 or lower) I don't really care about markings or stats right now, so potatoes are totally acceptable! I also don't care if a wolf has been previously bred, as long as they are not too old to breed again! |

Honestly I will be kind of relieved if someone else breeds Piasa first because then I'll at least know it's possible. Two more rollovers until I can start breeding some Warm Lights! In the meantime, I bred my Rust girl to Moomba because I was bored and he was on sale lol. The litter produced Rust, Gold, Amber, and Tumbleweed. Rust boi is actually pretty handsome, I'm tempted to hang onto him but the others I'm just going to yeet. Tumbleweed is like... the bane of my existence; it's a fine base but my own stud throws it a lot so it's always popping up when I'm hoping for other things. I expect to see a lot of it as this project progresses :'D |

Good lord, Piasa is the ONLY TIII base left to discover at this point. I suppose that's sort of reassuring (it wouldn't really make sense to be the only one unavailable from breeding, would it?) but aaaaa I just want to know that I'm not barking up the wrong tree here |

I'm breeding for piasa as well and I'd just like to say good luck! I'm going about it in a slightly different way, so I'd love to see your results if you get one :) |

Eyy, good to see more folks who appreciate Piasa! I suppose the *other* way I could've tackled this would be to buy a Light III from any color group and breed them to Warm, but that would make the big name lineages harder to avoid, I think. And I'm too poor for TIII pups, besides :'D But I wish everyone luck in their quest whatever the strategy, frankly I think it's kind of wild that there still isn't a single Piasa while we now have two pages of Tombac in search! |
