please don’t integrate karma! (addendum: at least not how exists in LD)

Support!

I know my biggest hatred of the karma system with Lioden was that I wanted to keep up with my Deathlord lion. That meant no gifting for the festive base in December, and that I have to avoid a lot of the encounters that give better items in explore so that I can keep tanking my karma instead of raising it. I would definitely prefer a different karma system here, if at all.

I support! Karma should be left on LD. I don't want Wolvden to become a clone of its predecessor. I was so relieved when I first joined WD because there was no karma.

Honestly I agree! Everyone in the forum pretty much summed up what I wanted to say so I don't think I'll need to say much ^^ the karma system on LD is scuffed ngl

I propose that karma be a a toggleable feature over negating it entirely. That way people who want to participate in it can and people that don't want to, don't have to. I personally enjoy karma as in LD it's a good way to pick up exp and carcasses but I can understand why people aren't keen on it

I support, assuming it will be yet another "Neutral Good"/"Stupid Evil" "good"/"evil" dichotomy. If the system is far more complex, however...

addition to my comment the karma can be similiar to the d&d alignment system

I quite dislike karma because it could force you to choose the worse of two options just because you want specific karma.

Play or Taunt the owl? My lead in lore would play, but I always choose taunt because I want the amusement items. 1-3 owl feathers is a great reward and I wouldn't want to have to sacrifice that if I want good karma.
I don't care about the titles, but have high or low karma would give you access to certain shops and items so I can't even just ignore karma if it was implemented because then I would miss out on exclusive items.

I also want to add that since we can only have 1 account on Wolvden, we can't even have a high karma account and a low karma account (which was my tactic on lioden) so karma implementation would be even more frustrating.

I would be way more interested if Karma was implemented outside of explore such as through pack interaction like was suggested c:

I agree with not wanting karma. I’m kind of frustrated with how much the Devs went on about Wolvden being separate and a different game to Lioden but keep porting over Lioden ideas when getting mad at Wolvden players for comparing the two and such. Karma is something I was really happy to not see on here especially since as others have mentioned you miss out on rewards if you toggle it off because there are good or bad exclusive karma encounters. I play as a wolf and wolves do not have the same morality compass as humans. I don’t want my wolf to be evil because he did something a wolf would do in the wild. This game is supposed to be more realism based according to the devs and karmic decisions on wolves based on human morality isn’t that.
