ππΊ How much is my wolf worth? You want to compare the wolf you're selling to the most similar wolves for sale.First, go to the Trading Center > Search > Wolves. Now, we are going to select:
Now submit your search. π§π Too many results? β‘οΈNARROWβ¬ οΈ it down by adding Base Group and Shade.Too few? β¬ οΈ BROADEN β‘οΈ your search. Try removing some conditions.β¨Anything extra special about your pup?
* Beware! * Being too specific can make it harder to compare! Adult WolvesIf you're selling an adult wolf who's proficient in a role, put that in the keywords. Instead of selecting their exact level, it might be better to put Level > 2 or Level > 10. Heat wolves sometimes go for more, so be sure to check that box if it applies. Older wolves are harder to sell.βββIs family lineage important?Yes, always check the family tree of the pup. Many players prefer to avoid inbreeding. There are no in-game penalties, but it is a popular play style. An inbred wolf can still be a strong member of someone's hunting team, even if they aren't favored for breeding projects.Lower generations tend to be more valuable to certain players, because they introduce fresh new lines to the gene pool. BUT! There is no reason a long-lined pup can't be valuable, if they still have great markings, high stats etc. What about NBWs?NBWs are tricky because most aren't worth much, but some are EXTREMELY valuable. Always select the Base Tier when price checking an NBW. Common T1s with 1-3 markings aren't likely worth much. T3s and any Chased with RMA / Event markings or special eyes are the rarest NBWs. Younger wolves with are typically somewhat more valuable, because it leaves time for training. Good stat rolls are also important!π€ Which wolves are MOST valuable? Are you planning ahead, thinking about what breeding project to expand your pack? How do you know what wolves will sell?Let's find out what types of wolves are most popular right now. Go to TC > Wolves tab, click search without filling any of the form, and sort by Buyout. Now you can see what treasures abound! Usually, the most expensive wolves are either lethal mutations or Tier III NBWs. Both those things are mostly up to luck, so scroll further down the list, toΒ observe the more mid-range wolves. What bases are popular? Which markings? What about eyes? Stats? Generation? Typically, wolves with new or rare bases and markings will be more valuable. How rare is _______?If there aren't many results in the TC, the wolf you're trying to compare might be rare. Or you may have narrowed down the search too far. To see how common their special trait is, you can use the Wolves Search to compare how many other wolves in the entire game share the aspect in question. How to check the exchange rate?Go here. To get there again, visit the TC, click the currency tab at the top, put 1 in "GC in Trade" then search and click on the Buyout column to sort lowest-highest.To check the exchange rate in the other direction, put 1 in "GC buyout" and sort by SC column highest-lowest (*CLICK TWICE*) because you want to see the *most* SC you can buy for 1 GC. How to price check items?Easy! Just search for the same item.β For food and toys, it may be helpful to search for "food 100" or "amusement 100" rather than the item's actual name. Another way is to think about your goal for how much you want to earn. Ex: How many Healing Salves do I need to sell to make... ...1 GC? ...5 GC? ...10? Extras: Remember to give your trade a good descriptive title! Add something funny or interesting so people will want to click on it. Bonus Tip: You can also attract curiosity by adding a small item like a toy or herb to the trade. This is a sales technique used in Real Life - Have you ever bought something in a store that came with a "bonus"? In my pack Lore, we have a ritual of sending away pups carrying "farewell-feathers" and "farewell-flowers" as a parting gift from their family. At least when I have extras anyway haha~ ;) The same basic method also applies to price checking items. Search, sort by Buyout, compare. And of course, advertise your tail off!! Bump your trades during the busiest times of day- usually North American lunch/dinner hours. Disclaimer: This is just what I do, it's not a law of the universe lol.Β Thanks for reading! |

ππ Appraisal ExamplesSeems like a lot of work? Support my suggestion for an Appraiser NPC!Example 1) Suppose I want to find out, What are the most high stat pups being born?Search for Rolled over today | Younger than 1 year | Min stat total 800 We can see there is only 1 page of results. To confirm this is quite rare, query 750 min stats shows 6 pages of results. 700, a whopping 17 pages! Therefore, 800 total stats on an adolescent is quite rare. Example 2) Let's check the rarity of the new eye color, Mercury.Again, we only care about active packs, so select Rolled Over Today. There are 6 pages of results, or about ~120 wolves. How about only Mercury eyed NBWs? Change Generation = Exaxctly 1. We get 5 pages of results. Hmm, that means a pup with Mercury eyes might be pretty rare! Select Younger than 1 year. Only one page. So, we can conclude Mercury eyed pups are genuinely rare. Example 3) How common is a level 20 wolf?106 pages. Wow, great job everyone! Oops, but we included Immortals. Let's exclude most of them by choosing Max age = 5 years. We get 25 pages of results. So it'd be quite the accomplishment to reach level 20 before age 5! Can we narrow it down even more? Let's check T3 and T* wolves under age 4. Just 5 pages! *1 page of search results = 20 wolves |
