Adjustments to NBW Stats [and maybe age]

Introduction/Reasons for Suggesting: It's so fun going exploring and finding a NBW. You look at them, they're pretty or have a rare mark, and you decide to befriend them! And then you go look at them and... wait... They have less than 200 total stats?!? The game said they were level 19!! So you've probably had this happen to you before. And it's very, very annoying. That's why I decided to make this suggestion! Adjustments/Improvements to NBW Stats The idea here is pretty simple. The higher level the wolf is when you encounter them, the higher their stats. Level 1-4 wolves would be around 180-210, level 5-8 would be 210-240, level 8-12 would be 240-280, level 15+ would be 280-310. Simple right? Those numbers aren't exact, they're just a basic estimate. This system could also make higher-level wolves rarer, so it wouldn't be abused. Another thing I'd like to see in NBWs: more reliable age! It's sooooo annoying to get a NBW you really like and then... they're 6. I don't know what could be done about this, however, so suggestions are appreciated. :) What would it require from the team? This would require some coding. I don't think it would be too extremely hard to code, it seems pretty simple, but I'm no expert! Other Support/No support ratio: My other recent suggestions: |

Support. It's very distressing that fresh blood wolves are capped at like 285 starting stats, and those are incredibly rare. I just found a special Nepheline wolf and was excited to breed her... Except she's got 197 stats. Leveling wolves is slow and very limited. Raising the cap on NBWs/tying it to battle level in the wild would make NBWs far more worth going for, and would be an easier way to see if I even want to bother befriending. |

@ finnfinite - Glad you support! And I totally agree with your point. I breed mainly for looks, not stats, but I plan to "start over" my pack with only G1 wolves, and it's very sad that you can't get any G1 wolf with more then about 280 stats :( |

Support! I have been thinking myself it would be nice if the levels coincided with their stats |

this suggestion is twofold: - that the level we see in the explore screen match the stats of the befriended wolf. - that the overall stats of NBWs be higher. I do agree that the level in explore screen could not be random but could match the wolf's stats (and maybe their base/markings rarity? It would make less sense gameplay-wise but be very convenient) I don't care about overall stats, maybe they're capped for balance reasons, and if like the game itself you don't care about inbreeding you just need a bit of time to level them up, or you breed to a high-level stud or whatever. It actually makes it very hard to get high stats, rare bases and short lineages at the same time, which is fine by me as a gameplay rule. |

I'm a fairly new player, and I thought at first it worked like that. So when I found a rather high level NBW I thought I was lucky and was excited to befriend it to get some high stats in my tiny new pack.. only to discover they were now level 1 post-befriending and their stats were among the lowest I had. NBW level should mean something. And it shouldn't change when the wolf is added to your pack. |
