1. Believe me, I still get my custom decors rejected 80% the time so I wouldn't say I'm necessarily good, just patient. 2. Once you make a couple of custom decor that are popular the business pretty much becomes self sustainable from the profits you make from selling. But when I first started I made the money by selling commissions! 3. Most of my ideas are inspired by things I'm interested at a particular point in time or "key words". For instance I'm working on a midas touch decor which I got inspired to do when I was talking about myths with my mother. Kind midas came into the conversation, and I just went "oh hey, that'd be cool" Although, considering some of my decor, I also just have a penchant for the bizarre and spooky. Or traumatizing an entire generation of anime watchers.
