Flag/Spoiler for Body Horror Decor

With custom decor now being a thing, many artists are exploring things they can do with it, and that's good! Freedom for creativity is usually a positive thing.

However, some of the decors already approved contain disturbing or distressing levels of body horror or more realistic blood/wounds than previously in game

Examples:

Bleeding Eyes

Bloodstained Front

Burned Face Scar

Creepy Neck Mouth

Eye Mouths

I want to be clear that I do not think these images should be banned, but there is a significant minority of the population that is not going to want to see these. When we're stud searching, or looking on the TC, or browsing sell threads in Chatter, these decors could pop up at any time and we'd have no warning at all.

What I'm proposing is a "spoiler-esque" feature where the image of the wolf is whited out with a warning on top.

"WARNING: This wolf has decor tagged as body horror. Show?"

This warning could be enabled or disabled in user settings ideally. This would allow people who aren't bothered by it to not have to deal with the warnings, but allow those that ARE bothered to safely and easily protect themselves from seeing distressing things.

What this would require:

Decor to be more carefully tagged/moderated for possible warnings. Blood and body horror being the main two I'm concerned about. Would require UI adjustment on the settings page, and a new type of image checking/blocking that to my knowledge is not ingame yet. The programming required is a bit extensive, but spoilering images such as these is standard practice in the digital world and well worth the investment.

Support. I'm not particularly bothered by the body horror decors, but I absolutely can understand why some people would prefer not to see them. The ability to enable and disable the warning through settings is ideal as well, so everyone can make their own decision on what makes them comfortable.

Fully support. While I understand people enjoying things like the eye mouths and tarantulas, as someone who has severe arachnophobia,  a spoiler would be a blessing. Wolvden is a lit of fun, but I would rather not jump out of my skin if I look for a stud and find one with said decor.

Support! I'd also like other content warnings, as mentioned there is now a tarantula item in custom decor, which can certainly be shocking for any players with arachnophobia.

Support. There is actually somewhere in the decor rules that gore isn't allowed, but body horror apparently doesn't fall under that category? Which doesn't make much sense to me.

While I disagree about the bloody front, I do wholeheartedly agree on the things like throat mouth, eye mouth (and I wish I can unsee that now), and other things like mouths where they don't belong.  I never understood that, and I never will.  No disrespect intended to the creators of those decors intended.  It's just something I never got why they are popular.

Some things I do find creepy and unsettling, and I couldn't get past the body horror things.  Including the burnt face.  Blood, I'm okay with.  Burns and stuff like that, nope.

Maybe there could be a tiered spoiler option? Not having it on hides nothing, the first option hides only the worst body horror, and the second hides blood as well. Because I don't mind blood, I just don't like body horror (it creeps me out).

Support haha!

while I don’t mind body horror or gore, I can understand why others do. However as stated by OP, I wish this feature to be able to toggle on and off.

And if players still don’t wanna see the decor but just the wolf, I believe clicking ‘View in Wardrobe’ removes all custom decors except normal decors.

(And sorry to all the players who wished they didn’t see my neck mouth decor!)

It's a wonderful piece of art! Being able to spark emotion in other people is a great thing... When, uh, we're ok with it xD

Honestly just being forewarned so I can steel myself is enough for me, but for others... Good to know about view in wardrobe tho, people who are too afraid rn or know a wolf is upsetting can scroll real fast to that button
