How about double muscles?  We could have beefcake wolves ha ha

I made a post about that on lioden for double muscled lions and I think it would be awesome to see it here! Not to mention the genetics are actually more common in canines too!

Some more mutations I theorize that they may or may not do.

@Doot Doot Snoot ah the thumbs would be so cool, kinda gives werewolf vibes.....maybe it could have a higher chance only in October or on full moons.

I think the extra thumbs and split nose would be really awesome!

What about chimerism? Or mosaic/bilateral gynandromorph? It'd be a little more visually interesting than a hermaphroditic wolf, as it could have two separate patterns/colors, but only pass down one (if it's not entirely sterile, as some are).

Im secretly hoping that double merle / lethal whites become something.

Dog breeders know breeding a merle to another merle or a merle carrier = double merle, a very dangerous combo of recessive genes

I see so many merle x merle breedings on here to produce more and more merle, if we had a double merle lethal mutation, (double merle causes blindness, deafness, very white skin, and a lot of other complications.)

Merle dogs are high white and often look deformed. If they survive most are blind, deaf and worse.

Ocular defects include microphthalmia, conditions causing increased ocular pressure, and colobomas, among others. Double merle dogs may be deaf or blind or both, and can carry ocular defects in blue or colored eyes.

While I wouldn't be completely opposed to the mechanic you suggest, I do think it would be a little restrictive for those who like the way merle looks and want to layer it up. I see it as a bit like inbreeding - harmful in real life and therefore discouraged, but harmless in game. Also, the way the site's mechanics work would mean that you could still breed too merles together and have healthy babies, as long as the parents' merle markings were in the same slot.

Wouldn't having a mutation restricted to breeding merle wolves also make the price of merles skyrocket and negatively effect people who have studs without merle? Wolves with mutations are expensive, afaik.
