So I put this in suggestions a while back, had it removed because I realized it can't be there, and then in light of there being a mutation chatter topic going around I figured I'd go into depth in here. Make my own topic so it's not drowned out. Let me state that I know Wolvden isn't hyperrealistic. But I feel like most suggested hybrids aren't super plausible. Direwolves (which aren't in the same genus, and don't look very different from wolves), hyena-wolves (not even the same family), fox-wolves, cat-wolves... My proposition: Xenocyon. Quoting myself: "My proposed primal-like, large canine mutation/hybrid would be Xenocyon. They're the ancestors of what evolved into dholes and African Wild Dogs, but they're still in the Canis genus. They ranged across most of the world. Something like Xenocyon Cuon, a variant with a warm dhole-like base and tell-tale fluff. As well as Xenocyon Lycaon, with round ears and a splotchy AWD-like base." |

I like the idea! Especially the shape and the Cuon base! |
