Jewel sighed " I have to see whats going on with her"

Jewel walked out the door and walked to the guest bedroom where Bella was staying. she knocked  three times " Bella, dear? may I come in.. we have to talk"

She waited for a response back, patiently as ever. This was when she would reveal her  secret.  what will she think  she thought as she continued to wait

She was pondering what it would be like to live on the moon before she heard a knock on the door. She managed to say a “come in” in a small and quiet voice. She shifted and turned on the bed so she was laying on her side and facing the door.

Jewel sighed and opened the door slowly " Bella..." she began 

She walked to the bed and sat in it looking at Bella " I know something is the matter and I want to get to the bottom of it. But first things first... I just... wanted to say that I know it may sound strange, but I have become fond of you.. But that doesnt change anything just because Im your queen. Fellings are different between people.. and I havent felt like this since my parents died. So its rare to have a relationship starting up so late."

She sat up. A sweet smile spread across her face. “Oh really? I’m fond of you too Jewel.”

She admitted it that easily ,wow.  She felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her.

" you would go for me instead of  someone from  the village?" Jewel asked confused "  Im your queen, remember?" she teased " But whatever you choose, ill be beside you always, Bella" she  put her hand on her shoulder before sighing and looking at Bella "  I wouldnt  get in your way of your happiness, Bella. even if you did choose me. "

Belladonna buried her face into her palms, face growing hot. Oh, that was the wrong thing to say, wasn't it? "I guess something's just... different about you I guess? I never really liked anyone from the village anyway." She said in the same small voice. Bella sat there embarrassed like she had just spilled something. 

She was more than well aware of the gap between commoners and the nobility, the metaphorical river was even wider between commoners and royalty. Her mind wandered to Joseph, again. If he hadn't been killed her grandmother wouldn't have gotten the bright idea to name children after poisons and start planning an assassination. They wouldn't have had to become commoners to keep low profiles. Mind you, Mary was no nobility, but she and her heritage were nothing to sneeze at. 

"Hey, Bella..its ok. im sure we can work something out between us. Our feelings for each other will grow and we get to know each other better. But for right now...its best if we  just live the life we were meant to live. Separate from each other.. but then again.. how would our relationship become stronger? I do not know" 
She looked at Bella  before taking her hand in herds "  I will do anything and everything to keep you safe, Be;lla. That is a promise. You are free to go where you please."

She then  sighed before taking something out of her  dress pocket and took out a  small necklace " I want to give this to you, Bella. It is a shield if something or someone ever  comes to harm you. Not only is it a shield, it also warns me if something happens to you. "

She gently put the necklace around her neck before looking at her "  Promise me you wont have to call for me" she said with a  chuckle " I have ways of seeing what goes on in this small village."

She chuckled along, Bella hadn't really opened up about how she felt to anyone like this before. She hadn't even liked anyone like this before. Belladonna felt on the verge of the unknown and about to charge in. 

"Thank you..." she was just at a loss of words for what else to say. Silently, Bella got up and left the room. She knew exactly where she was going. She had two people to pay her respects to.

(Btw, is the mansion fully fixed by now or just the garden?)

Jewel watched her leave before putting her head on her hands clearly knowing that this wasn't going well as she planned " Damn it..." she mumbled " I have to be careful on what I say from now on... she may never wanna be with me"
She  got off the bed and walked to the throne room and sat on the Throne and let time pass slowly. Deep in thought.  Jarvey was in the village getting food. He wouldn't be back till later that morning, 

Belladonna eventually made it to the mansion's backyard. She bent down in one of the flowerbeds and carefully plucked stems, weaving them together until she had about 2 flower crowns and 2 leftover flowers. 

First, she walked over to Joseph's grave, and delicately put the flower crown on his head, and placed a flower in his stone hands. She bowed in front of his stone likeness. She began talking to the statue. "I never got to meet you, but I heard you were a great and honest man."

Then she walked to Mary's statue, placing the flower crown on her head, and a flower in front of her feet. "You died when I was 2, but I still remember your kind voice. You loved your husband, even after he was gone."

With that, she turned back and walked into the house.
