Updates Log

Interested in what has happened in Skyshine lately, you go to visit the updates log. A pure black wolf wearing a flower crown is putting up a new update on the board. "Hello, I'm Skyshine's herbalist, Seer. I also frequently act as the Lorekeeper." She tells you. "If you're looking for a more in-depth report, you should read Ash's personal logs."

The Crossroads

One of the scouts, Oriole, is off duty right now, so Ash asked him if he could show you around the rest of Skyshine's territory. He leads you to a gap in the back of the glade, connecting to many different paths winding through the forest. "You can explore if you'd like," he says. "but stay on the trail. Anyone short of a Skyshine packmember can easily get lost in these woods."

Iced Tea's Art & Sketches

In the shade of one side of the glade, you see Iced Tea, a high-ranking wolf, scratching in the dirt with one claw. On the other side of the patch of dirt, a red, black, and silver she-wolf stands in a majestic pose. You assume this is Tea's mate Shadowed Sunset. Looking down at the sketch Iced Tea has made, you remark that she could make piles of cones selling her work. "You're too kind!" she says, blushing. "If you'd like to check it out, here is more of my work."

Meet The Wolves

Curious, you pad over to Bailey to ask him why his looks and build are so different from the other wolves of Skyshine. He laughs good-naturedly, before answering your query. "It's because I'm not a wolf!" He goes on to explain how he wasn't born in Skyshine, but instead in the humanplace. Seeing the surprised look on your face, he says "Yes, I'm a dog. Ash was kind enough to accept me into the pack." Giving you a shy grin, he flicks his feathery tail towards other wolves in the grove. 'I'm not the only one here with an interesting story to tell. You can talk to any of my packmates, they'll be happy to share their tales!"

Timeline And Events

The First Years

- Ash is exiled from Riverstorm Pack. The she-wolf intends to start her own pack, and begins to search for territory.
- While traveling, Ash meets Oak and the two become friends immediately. The wolves settle in the grasslands, the founding members of the newly dubbed Skyshine Pack.
- Soon after Skyshine is created, Amber, Moss, Spruce, and Cypress all join the new pack. Spruce and Oak start a hunting party, and Moss and Cypress pick up scouting. Amber becomes Skyshine's sole pupsitter.
- Oak becomes Skyshine's first breeding male, a high-ranking role in any pack. He promises to make a name of himself, and make Skyshine proud.
- Amber gives birth to two pups, Olive and Sitka. Unfortunately, due to the cold winter and Amber's inexperience with pupsitting, the two both pass away.
- Two new wolves enter the pack, adolescents Fallen Leaves and Cloudy Sky. The young lovers left their old pack to have a place where they could become mates.
- As Fallen Leaves and Cloudy Sky near adulthood, Amber and Moss both depart from Skyshine. They apologize, saying they have been loner stheir whole lives and just can't enjoy the pack life. Ash understands their feelings and lets the wolves leave without a fight.
- Due to the increased human activity in the grasslands, Ash moves Skyshine to the Deciduous Forest. Prey is running well in the forest and it doesn't take long for the pack to acclimate to their new home.
