❗Please don't post here, I'd like to keep it clean and clear for easy reference for myself. If you feel so inclined to tell me what you felt or just in case there are typos I missed, feel free to post on this thread!❗

🖤Dark Secrets🖤

I'm going to leave my brainworms here, ideas and stories for my wolves that seem to of infested me whenever I get attached to them, which seems to be all the time.

This is all done on mobile, so progress is slow and typos are inevitable so there are likely going to be lots of revisions to this thread.

❗ I hope to add pictures at some point since I'm working on drawing the wolves and backgrounds and all, however until I get internet I won't be able to from my strictly mobile position, at least not often.❗

So, in all honesty I had another more laid out lore post I planned to have all nice and organized with actual story bits, but it fell through a bit cause I just wasn't satisfied with my story bits yet. But I'll post it again eventually once I've reorganized and gotten comfy with it all.

Full disclosure as well, this is inspired by two very awesome lore dumps I love to read: The Lives and Mishaps of Jackdaws Flight and Fierce Grace Pack Tracker (The Rise of the Rosen Sun.) Made by amazing people with fabulous ideas and fully deserve this shout-out. ~~It was also spurred into action because of an unfortunate happening but that's besides the point.~~

🏔️ Setting 🏔️

While this world is similar to our own, as far as these wolves know humans don't exist and have never been seen near their home. Probably for the best given the more elemental nature to the wolves, humans would only kill or exploit them for their natural abilities. Wolves of this world have the ability to manipulate a small amount of natural energy around them, some can rarely wield two though it's more common to see a wolf who either doesn't have any abilities or who's abilities are very weak. These abilities do not allow them to make huge changes, for instance a wolf who wields fire can't redirect a whole wildfire, but they may be able to redirect sections at a time.

A small list of energies a wolf may wield are the basics: fire, water, earth (though it seems to be limited mostly to stone and crystals) and air. On rare occasions a wolf may be blessed with a more psychic affinity, giving them the ability to perceive others around them in a deeper way (empathy), to speak with or see the dead, to have small visions of future events or even to manipulate small objects around them. This ability is so rare that the full extent of it is unknown and most commonly seems to be found in those inclined to become herbalists.

These abilities can be further broken down into "offshoots" which can happen when wolves of different (or similar) abilities mate.
🖤 Fire: can split into lightning or on the rare occasion light
🖤 Water: can split into ice, acid or even venom really
🖤 Earth/Rock: can split into plants, crystals or metal
🖤 Air: can split into poison gas or on the rare occasion darkness
🖤 Psychic: this is a rare occurrence and usually found mostly in herbalists, it does give the ability to see/speak with the dead, have small premonitions and/or manipulate small objects around them

🖤 An other uncommon occurrences a wolf can have up to two powers, though one power will always be stronger then the other
🖤 A wolf can't do a huge event changing things with their powers, they might can poke something into happening but they cannot be the sole cause of it without help. (Ex, a wolf who has a water affinity cant suddenly flood everything around them, but if it's raining and a mudslide or other such flooding is occuring they can help it along or slightly redirect it to where they want it to go.)

🌱 General Culture 🌱
Gods
While not every wolf or creature believes in these so called gods, they do roam the world. Fitting more along with the term "cryptid" in our own world, creatures of odd looks or origins that are seemingly impossible to find or pin down, they do carry an immense power with them. Most creatures either do not live to tell the tale of meeting these cryptids, or are never heard from again as they're kept for company or entertainment.
Basically I'm an absolute nerd and enjoy the idea of making a bunch of silly designs for "gods" even if they're more like cryptids really?? Like they're powerful sure but they exist in the world, they're just really difficult to find and most of the time if they see you as a threat they'll just snatch that ass and you're gone forever so, yeah, be respectful fam. Most creatures "worship" them in a sense that they show respect to their existence, celebrating and making offerings sometimes in hopes that it makes them happy or to gain favor if at all possible (a theory completely up for debate to most)

☀️🌻 Astaro - The Wolf of Light 🌻☀️
Pronouns: He/Him
Symbols: Sun, Sunflowers, Dandelions, Sunstones
Representative Colors: Yellow, orange and pink
Representative Season: Summer
While Astaro is considered to predominantly wolf shaped, his front legs are more wyvern like as he carries bird like wings here. Feathered fur around his ankles and ears giving him a fluffy, long eared look.
A coat of bright yellow with white unders, red and pink dotting along his body and a set of orange eyes that seem to glow even in the dark.

This bright wolf is often considered very self absorbed, viewing himself as a wonderful sight to everyone because of his bright colorful coat. He's sociable, loving to converse with random individuals regardless of their species or temperament.

🌙❄️ Nivero - The Cat of Moonlight ❄️🌙
Pronouns: She/They
Symbols: Cresent Moon, Moon lilies, Snowflakes, Moonstones
Representative Colors: White, purple and blue
Representative Season: Winter
Nivero is shaped like a large cat, though their head is adorned with the antlers of an elk and ears to match, with similar wyvern like wings as Astaro though these are leathery and bat-like.
Carrying an almost melanistic coloring with purple markings decorating their pelt in a dance of swirls and waves. Piercing, deep blue eyes drawing attention to their face where creatures often see themselves being carefully considered by this large cryptid.

She is surprisingly as sociable as Astaro, but far more picky about the individuals she approaches which often makes her come off as being cold or stand-offish. She loves basking in the moonlight and enjoying a chat with those she enjoys the energy of, however if she does not enjoy your company or energy you will likely not meet her. Her favored activity being basking in the moonlight with a friend to chat and enjoy each other's company.

🌦️🐍 Ispirene - The Serpent of Change 🐍🌦️
Pronouns: They/Them
Symbols: Rain clouds/Raindrops, lightning and sprouts
Representative Colors: Gray, white and black
Representative Season: Spring
A large cobra like creature with a big black sail that almost acts as large wings, their body is mostly white with black and light blue markings. Their eyes being a striking and startling white color.

They're a very active cryptid, loving to travel around and see new things but often keep to themselves and avoid socialization, being afraid to allow others close due to their volatile and fluid nature, seeing it as a potential harm to others despite not actively trying to hurt anyone. They're more likely to lash out in fear of strangers seeking friendship then anyone else, and while they will do their best not to have a large outburst to spare a creatures life it can sometimes be out of their control.

🍁🍂 Grave - The Omen 🍂🍁
Pronouns: Any
Symbols: Ravens, Maple Leaves, Acorns, Amber
Representative Colors: Black, gold and and silver
Representative Season: Fall
Being a small almost raptorial looking cryptid with six limbs (two sets of legs and a pair of raven like wings) with a black body, silver markings and solid golden eyes.

The most distant of the seasonal group, preferring to be alone or with their crow brother, though if someone is calm and often times quiet they can enjoy their company in silence with relative ease. The easiest way to get on their nerves is to mistake them for their brother, finding it an insult to be called a crow when they are so clearly a Raven, and they are not a very forgiving cryptid so you will quickly find yourself on the long end of a very harsh life until they feel you've properly repented.

🐇✨ Jade - The Shining Hare ✨🐇
Pronouns: She/Her
Symbols: Four Leaf Clovers, Rabbits Feet, Jade Stones
Representative Colors: White gold and Jade Green
Representative Season: None
Jade is a mostly whitish colored hare with green colored markings and six legs plus a pair of small wings meant more for gliding then flying. She's actually a rather mellow hare, feeding off the energy given to her by others she can come off as hyper or lazy because of it. While she loves her opposite, Ruin, she feels as if he shouldn't look for trouble as often as he does, and then usually proceeds to get herself hurt soon after like a hypocrite.

While she doesn't represent a season she's often seen with Isperine to help the skittish cobra with some kind of companionship, and to bring a little luck into the serpent's life.

🌠🐺 Ruin - The Lost Surprise 🐺🌠
Pronouns: They/He
Symbols: Horde of butterflies, obsidian, Shooting Stars
Representative Colors: Lime green and Obsidian
Representative Season: None
Ruin is a lime colored coyote with obsidian markings and sea foam eyes, seen as scrappy looking with a set of bat style wings that look almost like a butterflies design. He's often seen with a following of smaller coyotes of varying colors but similar design crowded around him while he travels, though it is not uncommon to see him alone when it gets too cold out.

While he doesn't represent a season he is most often seen with Grave or even Nivero on some occasions, finding both to be great company. Relying on Grave to help him during his own anxiety about his overbearing ability to bring about bad luck and Nivero to be the voice of reason when he feels compelled to do something he's unsure of.

♀️ Pelonai (Youngest Daughter, Born Feb 28th)

Born scrappy, she has always had the talent of getting her paws stuck into any hornets nest she could find. Constantly out to find her next big adventure and enjoy life with all her heart, and with the capable mother she had and her imaginative father coming through in her vibrant personality she's one hell of a storm for someone to meet. Bonding with Flutterspot and Cherrypop very easily as the three pups stick to each other like sap to a tree and make a funny looking trio, her other bonded Miaro was welcomed in from outside of the pack at a young age and she may as well have adopted him herself at the speed she chose him. Elements: Psychic (main) and Lightning.

Young boy encouraged to start a pack by his adoptive parent who saw a lot of potential in him even past all his own self doubts. Started strong and kept going, clearly creative with everything he did to keep the pack growing and functioning while settling disputes. Not the strongest wolf out there when it came to brawn but he made up for it in brain, attitude and heart. Small for a wolf, had odd looking large front canines and slightly large ears for the species. Elements: Psychic (Main), Fire (Secondary)

💜 Kaeta (Alkey's Mate, Started Oct 19th, 2020/Death Mar 25th, 2021)

Newly adult decided to go it at her own, trying to escape her dysfunctional mountain family, ended up finding this scrawny go getter of a wolf looking to make his own pack and on a whim decided to join him. A bulky she-wolf capable of standing on her own four paws in any situation and happy to prove it. Enjoys flitting about to find those that interest her and loving the freedom she has to do so thanks to her years of scouting and the ever understanding Alkey. Loves that boy with all her might and would defend him with her life against anyone Who would seek to hurt him. Elements: Crystal (Main) and Psychic (Secondary)

Adopted in from a pack struggling with all their puppies this young and friendly dam has always been ready to help out in any way she can. However, her strength has always been the only hurdle she's never been able to tackle properly until she began hunting. Always toppling over other puppies or barreling too heavy into the adults legs, even into adulthood she has the habit of bowling over others with her surprising strength and bulk. While more tempered in her later years, and trying to help teach her to temper her overwhelming strength early on. Element: Metal

Pack Snacks

Packs I'll probs mention in lore that I've either made up or befriended on site and wanna like, ting in for jokes that I've been cracking at just myself and will now subject anyone brave enough to read this mess to.

Glacier Pack (Name Pending) - Had a design in mind for a leader/beta/omega for the glacier cause I am constantly challenged by packs in the glacier so I decided these aggressive fucks get a little place for fun.

Crimson Waters (Grasslands/Riperian Woodlands) - A couple dickheads who like to cause trouble and have been since a little after the Dwellers got their paws in the door really, odd practices and beliefs with a harsh outlook to life and ready to rip throats out at the drop of a leaf.
