Today, I had this idea, upon receiving my daily rollover summary and finding out that (back on March 10th now) 21 carcasses/food items rotted this rollover. A minor issue really, but it still upset me that I lost those 21 food items without remembering to check and salvage for bones. I know it is our responsibility as players to check our hoards every so often for rotting food and salvage when able, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who forgets to do so and then end up missing out on valuable resources for amusement items right? So here is my idea: in the rollover summary prior to the day food will rot, we are given a notice/friendly reminder that we have food about to rot in 1 day. That way, we will know to check on our hoards and do as needed with the rotting food, whether it be to salvage for bones or sell to the raccoon for some extra pocket SC; this could also double as a reminder to be careful about feeding our wolves, to avoid the possibility of making our wolves sick with rotting food, for those that have FAPA active. I feel if this was implemented, it would help a lot of us more forgetful players to keep track of our food and when it needs to be salvaged, sold, or kept from being fed to our wolves. Granted, players could still forget to do this task after being reminded, but then it will for sure be on them personally since there's nothing left to do about it at that point. In order for my idea to get added to the game, I think what will be required from the devs is a small coding tweak to the daily rollover summary and possibly the hoard or whatever corresponding script that the summary pulls from throughout the game (such as when wolves may leave, etc) that tells us when and what carcasses have 1 day left so that we may remember to go do away with them however we please. Thank you for considering my suggestion! EDIT (Nov. 8, 2021): I fixed up this post's text, since it didn't seem to transfer well after the big change in how forum posts and coding works. |

I like this idea. It doesn't really help me to know my foot is rotting after it has already rotted. I would definitely prefer if it was swapped out with a warning so the message is more meaningful and I am able to stop it from rotting |
