Mother Nature - I'm glad you like them! Your mare 414 has a whole ton of markings going on in the background adding subtle shades of green, the swirls being one of them. Roadkill - Thanks, I'm glad you like yours! As for how I do breedings - for body, mane/tail, horn, hooves and eye color, the baby has a 50% chance of inheriting from mom and 50% from dad. Then each marking of each parent has a 50% chance to pass to the baby. If both parents have a particular marking, it jumps up to a 75% chance to pass, since I roll for it passing from both mom & dad. Any marking is more likely to be the same color the parent has for that marking, but there's a chance that markings can mutate colors, in which case they can be any marking color present in either parent, or a reasonable combination of the two (red + white might make pink, for example). I admit I sometimes use artistic license and fudge results a bit if it's looking like the baby is going to be hideous, or a complete clone of a parent. |
