If y'all are still looking for members, I'd like to join. I'm trying to get back into writing and rping - I haven't done much of either in a long time, so this seems like a good time to start! My Pack doesn't have much Lore yet, but I'm still working on it...

I'd love to join if this is still open! I'm brand new so my lore is still a wip ^^

i'd love to join! i never really did lore on LD, but since WD is still new, nows a better time then any to get it started! i havent really worked on lore at all, so it's still a WIP lol

Hi I'm CipheRin (Rin or Ciphe) and I'd like to join Lore Clan. Here is the current lore for my pack- Sorry if it's a bit long, I like writing a lot >-<

Navigating through the cold plains of the tundra, a lone wolf wanders throughout the cold plains and towards the looming trees. Her previous pack had unfortunately been wiped out by an avalanche and she was one of the last survivors. Unaware of where any of her pack mates where, she proceeded to flee to safety. After several days of circling the area, the arctic wolf gave up. Her pack was no longer there and in place there where only abandoned dens and the frozen carcasses of her beloved friends buried under the snow. Heartbroken, the she-wolf leaves the site, but not before burying her previous pack mates and giving a mournful howl that honestly sounded more like a wail of grief. The wolf wandered alone with no one at her side..

That is until one day on a misty morning when the she-wolf was out hunting, she had stumbled upon a stranger..

"Who are you?"

He inquired, tilting his head to the side. The stranger's ears where perked up and his tail was bristling slightly in alarm. 

"I could ask you the same question."

The she-wolf snapped back, not exactly in the mood to talk to someone else. 

"I was only asking a question, you don't have to go all hostile on me.."

The stranger responded, a hint of whining in his voice. The she-wolf snorted softly, her tail flicking to the side in disinterest.

"Fine. The name's Alpine, and remember it well."

Alpine looked up at the sky after catching a brief whiff of what seemed to be 'cold'..

"We should probably find shelter soon, seems like a snowstorm is approaching."

The stranger nodded as Alpine motioned for him to follow. For some strange reason he followed behind, no questions asked. The arctic wolf quickly navigated to an abandoned coyote den and ushered the stranger in, not exactly thinking about it too much. Her will to protect her pack mates was strong- There was no way she was willing to lose someone again.

"Thanks but you didn't have to get me here. I could've easily found a place." 

Alpine raised an eye and sighed.

"I know you could've but why did you decide to follow?"

The stranger only gave a sheepish expression-

"Er- Well.. Uh.. I.. Um.."

The she-wolf chuckled lightly in amusement as he struggled to find words.

"Anyways, I never caught your name."

"It's Shard. Just Shard."

And from there on out, Alpine and Shard became best friends and the Hailstorm Pack was born

(Note- This note is also part of the lore. Alpine and Shard chose the name 'Hailstorm Pack' because the two met and became best friends during a hailstorm. If Alpine didn't sense it coming and tried to help Shard get to safety, they would've never became friends)

Wow, that's a great Pack name story :o! Better than my origin story LOL. I do need to get to writing that XD...

Oh this looks like a lot of fun! Worldbuilding/Lore is on of my favorite parts of storytelling!

Some stuff I've come up with for my pack:

Revenant Pack was created to find individuals with unusual connections to the dead, afterlife, nd other ghostly affairs. Soul, the pack leader, has the ability to see the spirits of her ancestors and they guide her on occasion. Upon joining Revenant Pack wolves are given a new name, usually a synonym of ghost (because I do adore naming themes).

Upon coming the the current land Revenant Pack currently resides, Soul met Spirit. Spirit blessed by the stars (shown with the white blaze on her head) has the ability to see into past and sometimes even future lives. Giving her heightened foresight and hindsight.

I just thought of something I might add... I'm not 100% sure though. I've started watching supernatural lately and I kind of want a supernatural thing going on in my pack.

Technically my pack is based on reason, science, and understanding, so one can see how this might be a challenge. 

But I want a sort of "undead" or spirit wolf, just something ghostly in general. Or maybe a physic wolf? They'd give the pack a new sense of everything, that everything that they know, all of their ideas and theories on how the world works, can be torn down by a single wolf. This wolf would open them to new ideas and have them see things in a new light, and with an expanded mindset. 

Anyways, I'm thinking this wolf was born a long, long time ago and never aged. Perhaps they are very powerful or wise. That way they could fit with the whole "smart" wolves thing I got going on.

Lore is literally so fun to write, and just saying, if anyone wants any help on their lore, feel free to hit me up. I'd be more than happy to throw some ideas at you or help you strengthen your own. <3

ANNOUNCEMENT

First of all, I'd like to welcome all of our new members! This blew up overnight, and I couldn't be happier to welcome everyone not only to Lore Clan, but to Wolvden! I am going through all the old messages now to edit the front page - so it may take a moment for your name / lore page to appear, but rest assured they will! (or go ahead and smack me if I somehow miss you c;) I'd like to remind everyone that we have an active event going on over on the Event page that is entirely newbie friendly, and in honor of Public Access, I will be hosting a new competition soon for our new members, so keep an eye out for that. I'd also like to urge everyone to join the discord, as members tend to advertise reduced fees for members there that you newbies don't want to miss out on. 

Oh I'd love to join this If there's still room! I've got a rough lore idea that I still need to flesh out. ^^
