The Lineage/Heritage Breeders

I really want to try no in breeding and keeping my starting female's genes in my lines. But how are you guys doing this without outbreeding a bunch since you can only have one breeding male?

You can find other breeding studs out there that are NIB. You  just got to trace back their ancestry or the player will say somewhere that they practice NIB. Since this is a new game lineage is still short so it will be easier to track. Also through this thread as well. People can also post their NIB studs that are up for breeding here. 

My Style:

Currently I have some starter wolves. They are so far either caught, not chased, or created/customized. They are currently breeding with my first stud and only to him. When my stud dies I will bring in a new stud, wild one, and bred him to the previous breeding wolves' offspring that I chose to keep. I am planning to breed some of my wolves to outside wolves, small pup counts, but have them in a separate cave since thats not my main goal. 

Pros:

- no Inbreeding

- Has the starting wolves' genes

- Makes it easier to trace ancestry

- Won't have a common "Statter" ancestor 

Cons:

- Will always have to build up the stats of the new breeding male

- No crazy markings/cool genes

Ignore me if you already came up for a term for a NBW x NIB cross, but may I suggest WCR (Wild Outcrossed)?

Really good ideas you've got here. I hail from the world of Art RPGs where inbreeding typically has negative repercussions, so I was just going to continue doing that myself. XD

I agree with keeping IB out of the discussion. This is a thread were people can come to for breeding advice, sales, NIB studs, etc. I like the idea with Wolf swapping! It would help promote diversity within a pack and help players find NIB wolves when they want to buy outside wolves.
