Revisit Custom Decoration 'Tax' Price

Making it tax-free would be even more absurd. The artist would be able to generate infinite amount of CD, overloading the server and causing lag. Also, the artist would be able to offer free CD in trades, which means purchasing really valuable assets for CDs of no value. |

You could pretty easily implement a timer for the artist specifically, so the lag option wouldn't happen. Say, you could buy one copy an hour. It wouldn't be too unreasonable because the artist would probably only want one or two at a time, and if they're smart they wouldn't keep too many copies in existence to keep the TC price high. For clarity, I do like the scaling tax idea the best, over there being none at all. |

The world where CDs were for cheapest or free would be where artist friends would ask for refunded decors and stuff their wolves with cheap/free decor and where Raccoon Wares decors and crafted ones were more expensive ones when they're not supposed to. You simply ask the devs to rip off their own salaries from CDs they generate. Game development artists take their time to inspect your CDs that you release and this tax from CD is the salary for their work. They're not supposed to be punished because you price your CDs cheap. |

The only issue with this may be people needing to change the price, but again, in this case, it would only be a few days they'd have to wait in order to change their price. |

The 5GC tax has discouraged me from purchasing any custom decor at all. It should be removed. |

Now my brain can't calculate the more complicated arguments that have been thought out in the comments but for the main post... I don't think I agree with it. I think it might be better for some price ranges, but from what I gathered from the explanation: say I wanted to earn 10gc from my cd, by this forums logic, to get a 10gc earning, the total price would have to be 20gcs? It doesn't sound all that better for purchasers to me. If I had to agree with any adjustment price it would be Cardéstal's idea. But honestly, what I think should be done is get rid of the tax entirely. We as the artists already pay to use by purchasing the custom decor creator for the 10gc and then to buy a copy for ourselves for 5gcs a copy. I think those two alone are the perfect "pay to use our assets" way of income for wd, without the 5gc tax taking from our income of our own art. |

Ok so say they remove the tax, well what's gonna happen with the 5gc copy price for the artist? Let's say you have a 2GC priced decor for public purchase but your own copy cost you 5gcs. That isn't fair for the artist, the whole point of the copy price is to have their copy be cheaper. So maybe for the copy price, if the tax is completely removed, have the copy price be half of what the public price is. Public price is 2GC? Artist can buy a copy for 1gc. Public price is 10gc? Artist buys a copy for 5. |
