I often want to send my scout out before I go to bed, and he’s usually out of energy. At low enough energy I toss him a guarana, but if he’s at say, 30%, then I can’t use it. But he also can’t reach full energy before I go to bed so he can’t gain any exp overnight. I know that this isn’t the most efficient use of guarana but I want to use it anyway.

I’ve had the same problem with bone marrow in the past too. I want to top off a wolf’s energy, knowing that they can’t get the full 20% extra because they’re at 90% energy, but I can’t do that so I can’t send them off to scout. There’s also no way to drop a scout’s energy if everything is fully scouted because rescouting requires 100% energy.

I think you should be able to use these items at any energy level below 100%, but perhaps with a warning at higher energies that some of the bonus energy is going to go to waste. That or add some way for scouts to rescout without needing a full 100% energy (maybe that would just not bring in any toys on top of having an appropriately reduced EXP gain and reduced chance of stat bonuses?). That way you could drop a wolf’s energy to zero pretty quickly in order to use a guarana, or send them off to scout at 90% energy when you know it’s your last chance to be online.
