Enclave Pups Not tradeable.

Enclave Pups Not tradeable.
Posted 2021-06-02 03:34:33

So I have recently seen a load of 'enclave fodder' or enclave something in the trade centre to the point the first 2 pages were nothing but pups people adopted from the enclave and posted on the trade centre, the majority of them higher than the price they were adopted for. Considering some are being sold for 200 cones when no pup in the enclave cost that much.

So my suggestion is; if you adopt a pup from the enclave, that you can't trade it, you can GIFT it, but not trade, you can also chase it too.

Are you sure those pups were ADOPTED from the enclave? Most of the time, "enclave fodder," "enclave pup," etc trades are for cheap pups that they don't mind if they're used for an enclave quest, not pups FROM the enclave.

No support. If anyone wants to adopt enclave pups to flip them, then...honestly good luck in this economy, it sounds like a losing proposition most of the time. But if they want to try, they should be allowed.

Yeah, I think enclave pups are normally those intended to be used for the enclave quests, or were going to be abandoned anyway :/
And I mean, nothing's really stopping them from just selling the pups without "enclave fodder/pup" in the name anyway

I use "Enclave Pup" in a sell title to indicate it is a pup meant fo completing Enclave quests. They are not pups I've adopted to sell. They are pups bred in my pack that I've decided to sell.

No support.

I adopt cheap, plain pups from the enclave to give my pupsitters something to train to help them earn a bit more exp, and then I sometimes toss them onto the TC as enclave fodder for anyone needing a pup for an enclave quest. I don't usually make money from this, since I sell them cheap to move them out of my den quickly, but it helps me clear out pups I'd otherwise just be chasing once I've gotten my use out of them and possibly helps someone else complete a quest, so I don't see the harm in it. vOv If someone else doesn't mind keeping pups around for longer in order to have a chance to sell for a decent profit, more power to 'em.

No support. As Lionel said, if they want to adopt a puppy and try to sell it, good for them. I respect the hustle. There's nothing wrong with it, same as there is nothing wrong with others buying up trades and reselling them for higher prices, even if we personally don't like it. Also like other people said, most pups with enclave in the name are for GIVING to the enclave, not FROM the enclave. Why would someone advertise that they're reselling an enclave pup at a markup? That's not smart business.

No support. There was a similar thread to this where I went at length about it but it looks like everyone said most of it here already. The second a person buys or adopts a puppy, it belongs to them. If someone didn't want their pup to be chased, fed to the bear, or sold for a higher price, they shouldn't have abandoned it. The second that puppy is on another person's account, you lose any right to control what happens to it - it's not yours.

Besides, people already pointed out that some of them adopt puppies and sell them after training them up. Personally, I adopt puppies that look good and offer them for a higher buyout to keep them from being deleted, because they will 'die' in one rollover if no one picks them and this way I'm granting them more time to get bought into a loving home, by someone who is unlikely to just feed them back to the bear because it's no longer affordable for them to do so. If I can't sell them, I just chase them as adults so people get pretty NBWs.

And, obviously, I sell a lot of pups with Enclave/Fodder in their names... not because I got them from the enclave but because they're ugly/worthless and I don't care if they're fed to the bear. I'm yet to see anyone advertise they're selling a pup at a markup as Katie said, I don't think anyone would buy from them knowing that.
