Felix  sighed before Orion took over  I get it, and yeah Felix needs her. Hes bound to her like glue. He loves her too much. And the littles on the way.... hes even more worried and protective. 

felix then staggered back after his eyes went back to gold. staring at Gaelan. " Whoa. And yeah he is. So imma chat with his dad to see if I could do anything to  keep him from making things worse for me. Im not even a dad yet and Im already acting like one. I-is that actually normal?"

After the chat with Gaelan, Felix grabbed his phone and dialed Rhodes dad. " hey.. I need help here... Rhodes being  cranky and I dont know how to handle it.. do you mind  coming over and dealing with him?"

"Let me speak with him." Rhode's dad said. When he heard his son on the phone he began speaking calmly, yet being strict. "Rhode, you need to behave for Felix and Gaelan. They need your help just as much as Ruby does."

"Daddy, I'm trying! They just eat weird stuff." Rhode pouted. 

While Rhode spoke to his dad. Gaelan spoke with Felix. "It is very normal for you to act like a father, even when you aren't one yet. But you can't give in so easily with calling Rhode's dad. There are certain ways to deal with each child. Rhode is a picky eater, and enjoys talking back it looks like. Be stern with him, but don't yell at him."

Felix sighed "  Im not trying to yell at him, Gaelan.. I just get into father Alpha mode without me knowing and I cant help it." He said when Gaelan had pulled him to the side.

Even though Felix was strict.. he had to be careful or how strict he was, not only to Gaelan, and the others, but also towards Rhode, for he was only a little boy. " Look, Gaelan. i just get into Father Alpha mode and Im trying to control it. Maybe I just need to get to know Rhode longer."

(Oppppp O.o)

"That might be a good idea. Get to know him a bit more. I'm sure he loves to do all kinds of stuff. Maybe go take him on a safe hike near the school. It's pretty safe there." Gaelan suggested. "I can watch Ru for a bit while you get some fresh air. If anything happens, I'll link you right away." He gave a soft smile and glanced over to Rhode who was finally finished talk to his dad on the phone. 

He got up and handed Felix the phone. "I'm sorry for how I acted..." Rhode lowered his gaze nervously, and it almost looked like he was waiting for some repercussion. When nothing happened, he looked up confused. "Aren't I gonna get punished? I get punished at school."

Gaelan looked at him almost choking on his own saliva. "Um...how do you get punished at school?"

"Well...my teacher...she um...puts me in a timeout...in a closet..."

"She what? Do your parents know this?"

Rhode shook his head. "N--no...teacher says to never tell. But i don't like it there. I just wanna stay home...with mommy and daddy and sissy..."

Gaelan exchanged glances with Felix. 

Felix sighed deeply " Ph Rhode. You have to let your parents know about this. It might be the only way to get you out of that situation." he kneeled down to Rhodes level as he spoke. He wasnt mad, just upset. And it could bee seen to both Rhode and Gaelan. " Look, how about I take you for a little hike around the school and we can talk things through and see if I can do something about this, ok?"

He knew that being a father would be a huge deal, so he might as well  handle a six year old before his own little ones became that age. " Alright, come on. "

He then looked at Gaelan " thank you.   And please do. i shouldnt be too long, but  hopefully nothing bad happens to her." he eyed Ruby before walking out the door with Rhode as they headed towards the school.

I stirred a little, but nothing to be noticed on the outside. On the inside, the fog was clearing slow. I woke in my mind and looked down to see Onyx awake. We both tried to move, but we were so weak, we couldn't. My eyes were still greyed over. Onyx, do you feel like you were hit by a bus too?

Yeah. And ripped a part to pieces. I can barely move. Onyx whined.

Same here. I have no idea what that was. All I know is that I never want that to happen again. Our souls bring ripped from one another was so painful. I would hate to meet whatever or whoever caused this. They seem worse than Crow.

They do. But why go after us? 

I'm not sure. I don't know what type of pawn we are in thier game, but I'm starting to get annoyed with it. Crow, I could deal with. But I can't deal with this more than I have to. It breaks my heart hearing Felix in so much pain. I tried to force myself up, but my body was so sore and weak. I'm not one to give up that easily, but Onyx, I can't get up. I can't even wake up. I rested my head on the wall I sat against. Onyx whined, her head still in my lap.

Felix  finally came back to the house four hours later, holding a very tired  Rhode in his arms.   Once he got inside, he set Rhode at Ruby's feet and went to check up on Gaelan. Who was in the guest bedroom " Hey. I can take the shift now if you want. I just got back with Rhode. I think I got through to him ."

He chatted with him for a bit before heading back to the couch and sat at the head of the couch, stroking ruby's hair and talking to her 

 Stay strong for me, ruby.  dont give up on me now. I wont give up on you, and never will. 

I tried to link Felix, but I couldn't reach him. I whined. All i wanted to do was talk to Felix again. It had been a four days since I was able to talk to him and it hurt. Baby, I love you! I'm trying to stay strong, but it's hard. I miss you! I called, trying to contact him, but nothing worked. Onyx tried too, but she couldn't reach him either.

Gaelan stretched, "That's good." He smiled. "And sure. I'm gonna go for a run. If you need me, link me. If she wakes up, link me." After that, he took off out the back door in a jog. 

Felix nodded as he watched Gaelan  walk out the door. So many thoughts were going through his head, but the only thing that was the most important, was making sure his wife awoke safely and calmly. 

 She will wake, Felix. Dont worry about it.  give it another day or two and then you can talk to her.  Orion said to him

 Ive been talking to her, Orion... but she cant reach me. I know she heard me.  I just.. cant hear her. its like we were separated.  Felix whined as he layed with his head on her belly and hands on the edge of the couch. Rhode, had his head resting on his leg, fast asleep

Gaelan let Cerberus take control to stretch his legs. He took off down an old path and stopped at a small stone. He curled up and slept for a few hours. The stone read "Jaqueline Chrion. Beloved mother, mate, and friend. 1994 - 3004" The real reason why everyone thought Gaelan was dead, was because he never left his mates side, even in death. No one knew where her gravesite was, but Gaelan wanted to keep it that way, even from his close pack mates. Felix reminded him of a young him. Not wanting anything to happen to his mate. Staying by her side at all times. Heartbroken at the fact she may go at any second.

When Gaelan felt my pain, he knew he had to save me. He couldn't save his own mate. For her it was too late. But for me, he prayed it wasn't. And thankfully, it wasn't. 

Cerberus woke up and it was pitch black. He headed back to the house, howling in saddness before he left. His heart would never be whole again. He was okay with that. He accepted that. He had his own kin to make him whole and happy. Gaelan took control and walked in the back door. He saw Rhode fast asleep and Felix watching some soft tv as he held my hand. His head rested on my belly gently. He eyed Gaelan and noticed he was distraught and out of sorts.
