Clunky Dynasty

I'm very bothered by how the dynasty works in this game. The fact that wolves are not only not stored in your dynasty immediately-- coupled with the expensive cost of dynasty slots-- makes it very difficult and clunky to store a large pack of wolves.

The cost is one issue I would love to see reduced, but it is not my main point of making this thread.

My main issue is the fact that dynasty data only has a few days to be stored before it is automatically deleted-- and there is no warning about this. No ping, notification, or banner reminding you that this data is going to be erased, and that the data for your wolf will just be Gone. For someone like me with a terrible memory, who might read my daily summary and see that a wolf has died, but then forget to immediately go to the dynasty page-- this is a problem.

I feel like this could easily be resolved by just having some sort of notification on the den button's dynasty page, or perhaps a banner at the top. just something that says "Hey! You have dynasty data that is in danger of being deleted, please check!"

I have already forgot to store one of my past studs and today I learnt that my last lead hasn't been stored. It honestly made me mad to no end. I hate that it's completely undoable once a wolf is literally deleted from the game. I don't think that's how the dynasty should work - it doesn't make much sesne? Why make a dynasty if I have to manually add deceased wolves AND pay for it? It's just about storing the fact that this wolf ever existed. It's not like they're saving up the wolf IDs?

Yes, you've summed up my issues with the dynasty perfectly!

The fact that wolves aren't auto-stored into the dynasty is just crazy to me, but seeing as you need to pay to increase your dynasty slots, I guess it makes sense as to why it is this way. Not saying I agree with it, but I think it's obvious the biggest issues with the dynasty are all centered around needing to pay to get more slots.

I've got a lot of wolves. I really don't like feeling choke-held into picking and choosing who gets to be remembered and who fades away forever. The purpose of Wolvden is arguably collecting pretty wolves to your heart's content, and the storing in the dynasty system throws a wrench in that to me.

Not the mention dynasty slots are stupid expensive. 2 per slot, which seems small for one wolf, but when the adult wolves limit is 200, it stacks up really quick.

As a player who doesn't care for 95% of my wolves, I don't want to put them in the dynasty. My dynasty's nearly empty and I like it that way. If records were automatically stored, they would have to be removed manually. That sounds much worse than adding them manually, because that would mean constant removal. Particularly with limited slots, that would cause a panic of needing to remove one in time to put in another.

I wouldn't like a banner for expiring records, because I let most records expire. I don't want to know about every unnamed New Puppy's records, I like that it doesn't badger me. Even if a banner was only limited to secured wolves, for example, that would still irritate me because I don't care to keep most of them. It would also be annoying to have a constant notification on the Dynasty button, I can't stand having 'unread' messages on things.

I personally don't mind the dynasty price, but again, I'm speaking as someone who hardly uses it. It's a GC sink and helps reduce server overload, and I can get that.

I wish wolves weren't completely erased if not saved, but that's not going to change. With how it currently works, I'd have to oppose the proposed changes. They sound like they'd make it more tedious, not less.
