Raffle studs: give them high stats!

I love the newly added feature of raffle studs! However, I have a suggestion: Let the raffle stud have visible stats on their page, and make those stats much better than the average NBW stats. Maybe it could be a specific % of the current leaderboard wolves. Why? A lot of players focus more on stats than looks when it comes to breeding. They may not be interested in breeding their females to a low stat stud no matter what fancy markings he may have, which makes the raffle less fun for those players. By making the raffle studs appealing for both markings AND stats, the raffle will be more fun for ALL players. :) What is needed? Some coding. Thanks for reading! Edit: Another suggestion that has been mentioned in the comments is that the stats of the raffle stud could simply mirror the stats of the female. That way players who focus more on stats than looks could simply breed their best female to the raffle stud if they win, resulting in high stat pups. :) |

I support this! The Raffle stud is lovely, and I do hope to one day get panda markings or dust eyes, but it's true stats aren't appealing. Higher stats would be better, especially since stats are more important in hunts now! Please :) |

Tentative support, if it somehow gets implemented like Kuroku’s proposition. While I am myself a stats breeder (alongside looks, aha), I wouldn’t want people’s hard work on their studs’ stats be undermined by the existence of the raffle stud, if he were to get a % of the leaderboard’s average stats. Say the female has 557 stats. I’d be fine if the raffle stud adjusted his stats to have 500 or 600 total (depending on the simplification), but with equal stats repartition. That way, the female’s speciality is what gets passed on to the offsprings. Because, let’s face it, most current leaderboard have high strength. So if the raffle stud got some % of their stats, he would have high strength too. What if I wanted to breed a chaser with the raffle stud? The pups would be worthless, for a role specific stats breeder like myself. So while the stats wouldn’t be “high” with Kuroku’s proposition, at least the pups wouldn’t be a complete return to square one, in terms of stats. |

The idea of the male having stats that are a percent of the leaderboard seems pretty good. I think that, ideally, the raffle stud's stats should be scaled to match a percent of the female wolf's stats, which seems to be more reasonable. Maybe to a set maximum, if it does end up needing some balance. |

Interesting comments! I would be okay with the stats mirroring the females stats. I’ll add it to the main post as a possible alternative suggestion. :) |

Of the proposed suggestions, I like mirroring the female's stats the best. I agree with pretty much everything TheGuardian said. It's a way for the male's stats to be higher, but not necessarily super high to the point of being detrimental to other studs. Plus, I also stat breed for specific roles, so having mirrored stats would be much more enticing than randomly generated stats. Leaderboard wolves seem to be way out there stat-wise, so solely basing the raffle stud's stats off of those could be too high. |

No support. The raffle studs "may have special markings or other features that can only be acquired through breeding with a raffle stud" which I think is enough of an appeal. If you breed for stats, you can either not enter the raffle or you can flip whatever pups result from a breeding if you win. Adding high stats wouldn't fit with the "can only be acquired through breeding with a raffle stud" part of their purpose. If you want high stats, there are plenty of wolves on the website for that. |

Support! It's kinda disheartening to know that if I won a raffle, the pups who didn't inherit the special traits would basically be worthless due to low stats, and even the pups who got special traits are mostly suited to be pretty breeders instead of core pack members. I really like the idea of mirroring the female's stats, although I also wouldn't mind % of leaderboard. |

I support this. As someone who values high stats for core members of my pack it's a bit disheartening for the raffle stud to have such low stats. Mirroring the female's stats feels like the best option! |
