Community Update #1

First Community Update!

Hi, welcome to Wolvden's very first Community update!  These updates are smaller and are more focused on the community.  Whereas Development updates are centralised on adding in new features, expanding upon or adjusting existing features, and implementing new artwork and coding, Community updates are meant to introduce new weekly raffle studs, new polls, and showcase some minor changes and bug fixes that have been made in the past week.

Raffle Stud Clarification

Some of you had a few questions and concerns with the release of raffle studs.  We've compiled a bullet list of facts and clarification regarding raffle studs, hopefully this helps!

• Your lead wolf must be at least level 10 in order to enter the raffle.
• Each raffle stud asks for an item in exchange for breeding with him, the type of item requested is changed each week.  They will only ever ask for Food, Herbs, Medicine, or Toys.
• Items must have full uses to be used as raffle entries, you cannot submit items that have less than full uses.
• All raffle studs come with 40 stats in each category, totalling up to 200 stats in all.
• Raffle studs do not have any heritage and are generated on an admin-owned account, the purpose of this account is specifically only to host raffle studs.
• Raffle studs will showcase unique designs, we do not plan on reusing previous raffle stud designs.
• Raffle studs come with hand-chosen backgrounds and personalities, but these do not have any effect on the stud himself, they are just an additional RPG-like flair.
• Raffle studs have names that are randomly chosen from a pool of existing names, you can suggest new names here!
• The purpose of raffle studs is to release new, exclusive attributes into the game.  Currently we only have raffle-exclusive eye colours and markings, though this may expand in the future.
• New markings released on raffle studs cannot be applied using Random Marking Applicators or Total Shuffles until the raffle stud is drawn and players are able to start redeeming their breedings with him, we will be sure to mention when a certain marking can start being applied!
• Players that win breedings to raffle studs are permitted to sell their breedings to other players - these are treated as promise transactions, so buy at your own risk!  There is no true way of knowing who has and has not won a breeding with a raffle stud.  That being said, our staff members may be able to offer assistance if a breeding ends up being a scam or false advertisement, so be sure to document everything on-site!

Raffle Stud Winners and New Raffle Stud!

Congratulations to the 33 players that won a breeding with last week's raffle stud!  You'll know if you won, as you'll have received a Game Notification in your inbox informing you of such!  As a reminder, the previous raffle stud's exclusive attributes were Dust eyes and the Dark Brown Panda marking!  Dark Brown Panda is now able to be applied via Random Marking Applicators and Total Shuffles.

Our newest weekly raffle stud has been released!  His new special attributes are Smoke eyes and the Black Wings marking!  Enter for a chance to win a breeding with him by clicking here!

New Poll!

We appreciate all the votes done on our filler poll!  Warm and Monochrome were very closely tied, but top tier Warm won as we expected.

Moderator Applications Reminder

In Development Update #8, we introduced voluntary moderator applications that are permanently available to be filled out year-round!  We would like to take a moment to remind everyone about these applications, which can be found at the top of the Modbox, or by following this direct link: Moderator Application Form

Moderator applications are reviewed by Wolvden's admins as necessary.  We do not have a time limit on when applications can be sent in, nor when they may be reviewed.  We may not always need new moderators, but we would like to retain applications on file just in case!

To apply to be a voluntary moderator, you must have been registered on Wolvden for at least 6 months, be 18 years of age or older, and have a record that is fairly clean of rule breaks and trouble making.  We hope that applicants will have a decent grasp on gameplay knowledge in order to properly troubleshoot and assist players having issues with Wolvden's site features.

If you are accepted, you will be messaged privately by a site admin with further details regarding the position.  Please keep in mind that this is a voluntary position that does not offer benefits.  Wolvden's moderators are volunteers that offer their time to help catch rule breaks, enforce Wolvden's site rules, and assist players with their gameplay issues.

* Bug fix confirmed for Puppy training uses wrong gender pronouns.

* Bug fix confirmed for Wrong Full Energy Message.

Really-really happy we will be getting regular/predictable updates more frequently, I was really craving for something like that! Love the new raffle stud, both the new marking and the eyes are absolutely stunning. The more familiar marks on him are also great :>

Can't wait for TIII/Special-based raffle studs one day :>
