Please don't introduce humans as battle-able enemies

I don't want humans to be added to the game because... call me a weirdo... I don't want to kill people in my cute wolf breeding game. Not even "bad" people. I always hated the poacher event in Lioden. |

I am the exsct same way @Coal. I know poachers are shitty, but I always feel gross for actually killing a human in an animal sim game. There are plenty other games where you can do that... I really hope WD is "spared" from that Asshole Human trope because quite frankly, after seeing it a hundred times or so, it gets really old too. |

Yeah, I would feel kind of uncomfortable having to fight humans too. Even if they're poachers. Something just feels wrong about it to me and I'd really rather not-- the lack of human presence has always been one of the things I've liked about the game, and the human presence was something that turned me off of Lioden. |

I support. I don't mind there being a hint to humans, but I dont want there to be encounters or battles against them. I dont play this game to interact with humans and I like that this game doesn't have them. However as the poll currently stands, humans are winning. So if they are put in, i would hope that they would be a rare (preferably very rare) encounter. That why the players who don't want them, dont have to see them very often and those who do still have a chance. And it being rare would potential make more exciting and special to encounter for those who want it. Also by having them as a rare encounter, it would feel more realistic. |

I almost voted for humans because I want humans in the game, but stopped myself because the poll was asking about battling them... so went for Alligator instead, but crocs are already in the game. .-. Hopefully there are non-violent options. The violence in this game has been putting me off recently. Lioden is fine because naturally lions wanna kill everything so it fits the game there. |

I'd like if we could have human encounters where the trophies or collectibles were stuff that people could accidentally leave at a camp site or drop when they run away. Not littering, but some small items such as buttons, forks, photos, etc. Maybe even old shoes or hats. Something that would not really be harmful, but would be alien and funny for the wolves finding them. |

I mean add humans to create awareness for the horrible things humans do. Just like the poachers on Lioden. No it's not pretty it's horrible but it's reality for alot of wolves.. I want humans to be added. I am too tired to write about it further today. (I struggle with ME/CFS so sorry för not writing more. Interesting topic nonetheless.) |

I have to agree with this suggestion on grounds that I don't think humans really have a place 'appearing' in Wolvden. Either as enemies or in person. There are hints that humans were ever present in the world we are playing in, i.e. abandoned structures, the presence of sled dogs. But most of what i've encountered in game at least suggests humans only used to be present. Bringing living / hostile humans into the mix makes a big statement about the setting. Open ended talking animals quasi-fantasy realm would suddenly be pegged down to semi-real-world setting with a defined time period based on the presence and presentation of any humans found. |

I too agree with this suggestion and most of the ideas presented. For me, this game feels like a fantasy wolf game (I mean, they are green, blue... Can go to a magical place, carry swords, have dragon friends...). People would just be too jarringly real for me, and having the option for my wolves to kill humans is unsettling. I have heard stories of wolves who wouldn't do anything to hurt people--even to protect their pups. So, that makes the idea of battling humans even harder for me, because it just isn't realistic (if that is what the game is going for). And if the game isn't necessarily trying for reality, then why have humans at all? There are other, fantastical things that could be added, though perhaps extreme fantasy is not the planned route for the game (which is also fine). Mythical creatures would be a cool, interesting idea in my opinion. But, I would be okay with non-violent interactions with human-like creatures. Perhaps even battling them, as long as they are decidedly not human enough to be mistaken as such. I also agree that I would not like a specific time-frame to be implied by humans based on clothing and weapon choices. The more grounded in reality the game gets, the harder it is for my wolves to remain fantasy wolves. |
