You can play for lore, for stats, for pretty wolves, for non-inbred wolves (NIB), for short lineages, specialized stats, rare bases or mutations, or a mix of several of those. This list is here primarily for the subcategory of NIB players that tries not to use Big Names, and for those who want to sell to them. This is not in any way an indication of how you personally should play. Since Big Names in a wolf's genealogy (wolves that are popular studs, usually due to their exceptionally high stats, rare bases, mutations or pretty markings) make the Strict No Inbreeding playstyle (no wolf should have the same ancestor several times in genealogy, no matter how far back you go) kinda difficult, Big Names lower a wolf's market value for sale or stud, compared to a similar (much harder to get, due to the above-mentioned high stats and rare bases) wolf created from scratch. Please note the Strict No Inbreeding playstyle is used by some but not all players, and that inbreeding is not a game mechanic coded in the game but purely a player's convention. I sometimes heard people complain that they bought a wolf and spent a long time customizing it, only to realize, once it had already bred to the whole pack and it was too late to go back short of completely starting over, that it had Big Names and thus was not compatible with their chosen playstyle. To avoid this situation, I thought I'd set up a list. I personally am not that knowledgeable about it, but I thought we could create a collaborative list; albinism breeders probably know of albinism Big Names that other breeders are unaware of. So the list will be updated suggestions people give in the rest of the topic (people checking out the list should still be mindful of all categories I guess). Due to concerns about malicious uses of this list, a name will only be included if it has been checked that it follows the following rules: A wolf can be considered a General Big Name for the purpose of this topic: - if it had 800+ pups and also has more than 25 pages of living relatives in the family page - or if it has more than four descendants with 400+ pups and 10+ pages of living relatives - or if it has a descendant that fills any of these conditions For specific T3 bases and for mutations (active albinism and melanism): - if it fills the conditions of a General Big Name and has a rare base or an active mutation - or if one third or more of the wolves of that specific base/mutation (using the Search tool and checking three random pages) have a relation to him (either directly descend from him or share an ancestor) - or if it has a descendant that fills any of those conditions The Top Three Big Names will just be the wolves of the list that seem to have the most pups and descendants in the list. I may also add "notable descendants", who only need half as many pups/descendants to be included, but descend from a Big Name, so people don't need to go even further up the genealogy but find it easier instead to spot Big Names in their wolves' genealogy. Skoll is huge. I've also seen his kids Haru 🌬🍂 and ❄️ Starlight ❄️ around a fair bit.
Homura 👑 is one of Faelor's kids and seems fairly common himself.

Firefly is an albino one in my opinion! He's also in quite a bit of T3 lineage too, being a G2 Albino Fox.
