OMG I fully support, when the update first came I accidently hit something and my css got completely screwed up.. I'm sure that this new way is better for coders but it seems so confusing for others including myself...

I really hope they fix this ASAP and not just wait while they create a better version.

My contest will be on hold, my css will not be touched, I'll hardly be doing anything that I actually LIKE about this game.
And that doesn't exactly make me wanna keep logging in.

Please devs, for the sake of your players.

I used to use a free code from one of these forms and I had such a wonderful format with moving boxes and everything that was able to show all the information I wanted on my profile and den page. But now that there has apparently been a change all of the boxes are now broken, text refuses to go into the right formatting and I just can't seem to find anyway to get the boxes I once had. Does anyone know how to work this apparent new version of things that could help me? I just want my 3 expanding boxes and 1 normal box back.

@septicwolf2244

I'm assuming your problem is that the boxes are considered CSS so it breaks when putting it in the HTML area after the update? (That's what's happened to my profile page anyway, it's so broken that I can't edit it anymore.)

If you got the boxes from a free HTML thread or something similar, I think your best bet is to ask the original maker about it. They know the code best since they set it up, so they might have some answers for you. I'm sorry I don't know enough coding to help you myself. :/

I think the original person who made the CSS doesn't even play actively anymore, but I can try messaging them about it. Thank you for the advice, I'm just really upset about it, thankfully I copied and pasted all the information I had typed out into a section in my Discord Server for safe keeping until I can figure out what to do.

Ah I hope not. :/ If that's the case, there are still options from other free threads that involve expanding and static boxes, so if worse comes to worse, you can try one of those kinds as a replacement. (I'm unsure if those work either anymore, but maybe they have active creators.)

I get that completely. I hope it works out and I wish you luck. :'v

HUGE support! I have some coding ability, but I really miss the WYSIWYG option because manually coding html can be incredibly cumbersome on mobile (which is what I am on most of the time). WYSIWYG is also much better for replying to forum threads as it's faster.

Like, I understand there is a preview option (which I do like), but the preview button doesn't really help those that may not know much about code as they wouldn't know what to fix if the code doesn't happen to behave like it should.

I also use a free CSS to make my den look nice with a theme that others probably have but that doesn't matter much to me that my den's background won't be that unique. But I had a few boxes too and they're completely gone now because I had no idea how to edit inside of them with all the lines of code making my eyes hurt. Every time I try to edit where I think the break is in between the code to put in the information I want, it turns out it never was what I was looking for where it doesn't even save. Everything looks the same. I'm not about to learn how to do HTML whether there are tutorials or not, I have never been good at code during school and I sure as hell won't be good at it now because it is NOT my thing that I enjoy doing so it's just a nuisance. If I don't like it, I don't learn it, because it doesn't interest me at all.

I had to delete everything to have a fresh edit meaning I lost all my art and the emojis I used as keys to guide people through my den. I have no idea how to link in my threads for my stud and art, pictures are at least working to some degree when I have a fresh and empty page but editing pictures I had before is impossible within code that looks the same. I can't edit my art thread very well to showcase the art I'm trying to show for people who may be interested in my art. I am a casual player, I was told by someone before that if I am a casual player that I shouldn't complain, a long time ago when I complained about how the game does not care about its casual players (i.e raccoon wares prices too high when you can barely make enough SC if you're unable to sell wolves or unable to get breeding requests for your stud. the fact that it took me a month to get 2000sc bry grinding selling to the raccoon and explore every day is insane to me but that's a different story).

The toggle needs to happen soon and I don't care if it is considered broken. I got no glitches or troubles with the old format at all, maybe other people have, but it worked perfectly fine for me when I don't need to spend countless hours in this game.

On another note, I am an impatient person so waiting around for the toggle to happen before I can edit my den is out of the question for me. Others can wait if you're that patient. So I did touch it, got frustrated, and deleted everything and repasted my den's description because that is all I can really do in the situation.

if they rush out an update for WYSIWYG, it could make the situation worse. bringing it back before its fixed and ready to use will cause way more problems than something that may take longer if they work to fine tune it. fancy html isnt a requirement to update important info on your profile for example, atm the menu provides the basics, which work fine.

also, ctrl + f (and equivalent commands) may be helpful to many of you! you can locate your content easier, and focus on the content between the code. i know it can be hard to read at times (i have a reading disability so i understand how inconvenient it can be to work through), but it will be better in the long run, if we are patient with the devs.

it may have not been broken to people who only used WYSIWYG, but for coders like me it was disastrous, and the editor would break some of its own code. i got exceedingly frustrated with the long mess and jumble of codes every time id edit. the reason the code is so bad and hard to read, is because the WYSIWYG editor was buggy and poorly made, rushing it creates the same issue, and we’ve made no progress we’re back we’re we began. the devs are trying their best, they have listened to my feeback so far, rushing them accomplishes nothing, and leaves the coders in a worse position than before. we need to go the route that is best for everybody

Kas, while I understand you, that's definitely not what I nor a lot of us want.

We just want our old coding back so we can get back to what we love, not waiting months for an updated version. A lot of us HATE this new coding, you may not. You may can deal with it. But some of us don't even want to dare even touch our css or art threads and we lose customers and regulars this way. It's hurting more than it's helping us.

Our old code has barely any issues that we've noticed and we just want what we had back. You can use this new coding while we use our old one until they can update it.

And no one really even asked for an update, we just want the same coding back anyways. Give us an update later.
