Royale

A lone wolf is loping across the tudra, his dappled coat seeming to swirl with the first flakes of an oncoming storm amidst the windswept, brown-tufted grass. He pauses, for only a heartbeat, to gaze at you. His piercing eyes speak of adventure and determination. In a blink, he turns his nose towards the distant shore of a great lake and continues on. Later that night, as you recall your chance meeting, your dreams are filled with moose...

Notes~

  • I challenged myself to make a natural-looking monochrome design without using only monochrome marks, and I am really happy with the result! I don't think I have mixed brown, muted colors on a predominantly gray wolf successfully before.
  • I tried to emulate the 'feel' of previous raffle studs while incorporating a mix of special raffle marks, RMA shapes, combo colors, and regular markings.
  • He is named after a real island on lake superior where a very famous wolf study has been ongoing since 1958!

I really don't know how to use this update... BUT here's my entry! It's super simple but I absolutely LOVE the design. Almost like witchy vibe to him.

A stoic and elusive being born from stardust and cold. Often appearing at dusk, bearing the subtle mark of a fading disk on his belly, gained him the alternative title "Sun Devourer". It is rumored his pelt was torn from the dusk sky, and those who follow him may gain similar rare beauty. Unfortunately, looks pale in comparison to surviving in the bleak, harsh, and resource-barren Glaciers. Following Indigo Dreams entails travelling far for the group's needs. His most resilient followers hardly fret however; they believe wherever they wander, the Dusk Himself watches over them.
