Increase the maximum number of slots in the Dynasty (Or remove the cap)

Posted 2021-08-06 01:59:37
@ Unianigi {Bases:122/122}

Oh definitely, I agree; what I meant by that is statistically, in comparison to those who do collect 100 wolves, a lot of players may stop playing the game/not ever get to that point anyway, compared to a few players who will. "A few players" might be like 1000 in a few years' time but compared to those who don't reach that point it won't be that many, and hopefully wouldn't be enough to cause major lag. That's all I meant, just wanted to clarify :D I totally agree that people may stop collecting wolves due to something like this.

Sign me up in support of this.
If my current pack died tomorrow I wouldn't be able to keep everyone which makes me sad.

I support this! Even though I don't have many wolves stored, as long as I keep playing, the space will get smaller. I would definetely not want to be in the same situation.

Support!! I am also a base collector and there are more bases than slots! I also just have a huge pack in general and store all my adult wolves in the dynasty... I'd hate to have to "pick and choose" which wolves to keep.

I support this.  Some folks would like to have special wolves from every generation and we're almost a year in and I've already used up half my slots.  I'm not even a base collector, either.  I understand that this may have been instituted to prevent lag.  If that is the case, well, I do doubt most folks will ever get to 100, so perhaps it wouldn't be a problem to increase the cap?

I support this! I already am kinna picky with who stays in my dynasty right now because i wanna ride my free slots for as long as possible but even being picky im almost out of free slots. It wont be long before i move onto the paid slots and fill those up.

100% support!! Even though this is just a silly little game, I love every single wolf I have or have had in my pack, and will save each and every one of them when their time comes.

Also, I see no real reason to even have a cap in the dynasty slots (other than lag), as they do not serve any beneficial purpose to the game. They're just a nice way to keep memories of your wolves, and to help with lore purposes! I mean, I would never want to lose a wolf who might have been high up on the leaderboards, or sired tons of puppies, or one who was just the cutest of them all.

I support this 100% I hate having to choose which wolves I keep in my dynasty and which I'd have to let go forever. I'd like to be able to just keep everyone I'm super attached to.

Support.

I am sure devs have their reasons for having input a limit, but I am also one of those players who keeps wolves in their pack pretty much forever once they are in as a core member of the pack, and I like to keep them saved even after they die.  It's nice to look back at them, and it's helpful for keeping track of lineages, or being able to look back and find all the ancestors of a particular wolf (I love genealogy and family trees and the like).  And as someone with over 850 dynasty slots on Lioden (which I've been playing since 2013), it's sometimes really fun to be able to look back and see how your pride/pack has changed over the years (I can definitely tell when I was going through different phases on LD sometimes, haha).

I don't mind the GC fee to increase slots at all, and wouldn't even mind if it went up a little bit.  Ideally, there would be no limit to dynasty slots; I can't imagine a ton of players end up using a ton of slots, but maybe I'm wrong - but if a maximum is necessary, perhaps around 1000? I'm at 34 right now personally, and Wolvden isn't even a full year old yet, and I'll likely be around 50 by the time the first anniversary rolls around, and being at around half of the current limit after just a year sounds a little distressing. D:

Edit: If we want to consider rising GC cost in exchange for dynasty slots, perhaps every 100 slots it goes up by 1 GC? So after 100 slots, it costs 3 GC per slot, after 200 slots it costs 4 GC per, after 300 it's 5 GC per, etc?
