And why is the Silver Lupos not even mentioned on the news post? That's a huge deal? The Smoke eyes are mentioned and those have been released multiple times. |

There are currently TWO pups in the game with it. Only one MIGHT have time to grow up and be studded out if the owner uses an age crystal right now, because it's 6 months old TODAY. There are so few things in this game that hold value any more and rare marks are one of them, this new stud is really going to devalue all the effort people put into breeding! I really wanted to try for Auburn wings but at this point why should I if it's just going to be released in a month? |

As for why Silver Lupos was not explicitly mentioned within the news today, it's a combo marking, not a raffle marking. I only direct attention to the raffle-exclusive attributes that raffle studs have (e.g. Dust, Smoke, Storm eyes, whatever raffle-tier marking they have, etc.). The raffle-exclusive attributes for this week's stud are his Smoke eyes and White Wings Scarce marking. It wasn't an attempt to snub Silver Lupos, but I didn't figure that a combo marking needed attention drawn to it, seeing as most of the other prior raffle studs have had combo markings of some sort (looking at Sterling Cross and Silver Neck Band that Buckeye had the other week) and those aren't mentioned in the news, either. I will take your feedback to heart, and I am very sorry for upsetting you with my choice of markings today. After reading your comments, I briefly considered removing the marking, but ultimately decided against it, as players have already entered the raffle stud with the knowledge that he has Silver Lupos. That being said, it's very important to keep in mind that these markings won't be exclusive forever—all common, custom, raffle-exclusive, combo/breed-only, RMA-exclusive, and NBW-exclusive markings can be released on raffle studs, as has been shown with raffle studs released in the past, and when raffle studs are made available to breed with, their markings are released into the RMA/Total Shuffle pool straight away. Even if Silver Lupos hadn't been released on this week's raffle stud, it's entirely plausible that someone could have RMA'd that marking onto their breeding male. |

I ask this rather rhetorically: at what point does it then become just a cosmetic "dress up your wolf" game? Breeding sims are about breeding. If your stud doesn't have nice marks, you breed or buy a nicer one. You want that nice auburn whatever you breed for it, or you find a player who put in the work. That isn't "too hard" as anyone can find or spend rmas on getting the parent marks to create a combo. It doesn't allow someone to corner the market, so it's still fair. Those things stimulate the economy in a breeding sim, because breeding is often all the average player has at their disposal. Edit: thank you Katze for your reply, I posted when it wasn't there. I appreciate you and all the admins listening. |
