"[Easy]
Pleasssse, breed one of your wolvessss.
"
That... is not an easy quest for someone who has no wolves to breed and/or no breeding male.

I support this, but not for the same reasons. The wolf market is already saturated, we don't need more incentives to breed

I believe it doesn't give you that quest if you don't have a female in heat, so that's not why I'm supporting. I'm supporting since it's a weird quest.

Not everyone wants to breed their wolves the moment they come into heat - some players have specific plans, which include ignoring that entire heat, waiting for a specific day in the heat, or literally never breeding that wolf, ever. So when this quest pops up, they have no choice but to either snake skull it (and potentially run into it later into the heat,) or throw their breeding plans out the window.

I also agree with Katie that there doesn't need to be more incentives to breed. People already do it like crazy, there's no reason to nudge players into doing it even more. And yeah, if someone doesn't have a breeding male, that's an odd predicament to be in.

There's a good variety of quests now, so this one wouldn't be missed if it were removed. Wolf-based quests can revolve around feeding/playing with a certain amount of wolves or something, not this.

I didn't know this was a thing until now but I agree with Saeginko's reply, I personally have rules for my breedings including never on the age up heat, only over a certain amount of stats and only for t2+ unless the T1 wolf has REALLY good stats/marks I want or is VLF

I also have a lore rule that I want all my leads to be related to my first lead (My current lead) and his mate who were my sign up creation wolves. I got my wolf Luca from my two sign up wolves and when my current lead is getting old I will breed her for an heir to something nice with no family tree until then I will be ingnoring her heats. I also don't breed my herb for energy reasons or most of my pupsitters since they dont really get stats anyway I just have pretty to look at but honestly kinda useless for stats/bases wolves for that role.

Id rather not get a quest trying to get me to breed outside of my plans showing up that I need to wait 2 days to reroll I guess it's just 50Sc but on the other hand we also really don't need more random bred pups tbh the market is already full of them even with the enclave now to dump them in.

@Katie
Indeed; my initial thought was to breed some random NBWs, then sell/discard them...

@Saeginko, @Roamingtundra
Oh, that is actually what I meant: not having any available wolves to breed (regardless of their heat status).

This quest is so simple and the way of completing it is also simple - to set a breeding male and breed the female - but the only thing that makes it difficult is the player's own temperance.

The player can complicate this quest which usually ends up with higher expense than the questing reward. I don't have a breeding male and don't feel like setting one so I need to have a stud which is at minimum more expensive than the reward unless I find refunded breeding. Meanwhile, I can meet and admire nice and pretty studs. This is also the only preferred way for me if I just want to have the quest completed rather than the reward. Using a snake skull is more expensive and risky that the next set of quests might not be as I wish. Somewolf going for profit would rather ignore this quest and wait until it expires.

Another complication are the females that the player doesn't want to breed. I also would postpone some of my females so this simple quest might not sound so simple to me in the unfortunate moment. So another expense is required. I can buy a female in the TC just for the quest which helps those who sell females in heat. I can use an elk heart on fodder female such as just encountered NBW or take a risk and re-roll quests with a snake skull.

This breeding quest gives so many choices whether and how to handle it, where the simplest one is the most profitable. I think this quest is new player friendly because new players usually don't have plans regarding their females and as they know such quest exists, they can adapt their way of playing to the quest easier than players who have already set their own rules.

Im personally breeding for high stats so I need to wait til my wolves are older or lvl 20 before I can breed them in order to get the best stats possible. I simply cannot just breed my wolves for a quest, even if the reward was the same as doing a hard quest. It just isn't worth it for me and I'm sure thats the same for many other players.

I support 100%! I honestly have no idea what the incentive was for the devs to make this a quest? Not even saying this out of anger or frustration, just genuine confusion as to what the reasoning was. Despite being a breeding sim there has been all around weirdness surrounding breeding, and still kind of is (though it's gotten better with the new pair bond mechanic!) and I just don't see how this is a quest at all!

I am mostly breeding for stats, I never skip out in puppy/adolescent training to make sure they enter adulthood with as much stats as possible, and I work my wolves hard daily until they reach a certain stat amount later in their lives, so this sort of quest only hinders me, and having to skip it with a skull has more risk than reward. Plus the actual event needed for this quest only lasts until you breed them. After you get your what, 50 max SC, then you have to take care of the female until she gives birth, then you potentially have 6 unwanted puppies on your hand all for a quest with little reward that only lasts for a few seconds.

Eh, I think the quest is fine.

There are definitely times I won't want to do the quest. (For instance, right now I have four wolves in heat, but I'm not going to breed any of them because three are going to be in a timed breeding project less than a year from now, and the fourth is an active scout.) But it's not a huge deal, it's only 50 sc, I can just do the other quests.

I mentioned this in a different suggestion and wanted to say it here too, since I didn't really get into it on my post above.

The odds of getting this quest might be low, I don't know. But I don't like the idea that it has a chance show up multiple times over the span of 4 days if you choose not to breed your female. The more snake skulls used for any reason, that's even more opportunities. Running into it once can be annoying enough, but what if your luck is bad and you keep rolling it? That's a lot of wasted SC to use snake skulls for an easy quest or plenty of wasted time sitting around for it to expire.

I'd still highly prefer it be gone altogether, but I'd be more okay if it only showed up on the female's first day of heat. That way, it doesn't have the chance of showing up multiple times if you already chose to skip/ignore it. Or having it be toggleable, so if you don't care, you can keep it, or if you do care, you never have to see it.
