Alceste is a rather heavy-set and chunky cat. Do not draw him as long-haired if you can! He's similar to this in terms of build

In terms of demeanor, Alcetse is very formal and dignified, often to the point of being a pretentious prick. He takes himself too seriously and has a blank expression much of the time. Anything aloof or uninterested would also work as expressions for him!
