This quest shouldn't be removed but limited to those who have wolves in a pair bond. |

It feels kind of mean to adopt a puppy just to chuck it out again because you only needed it for a quest, which is what I and many players would have to do. I don't have room to house wolves I don't really want and if I do adopt a puppy, I would want it to be for lore or to give it a genuine, loving home until it dies, not to show it to the quest snake and chase it immediately. :/ Even for players who have pair bonds, those pair bonds may not need a puppy or already have all the puppies the player wants for them. It just feels like a quest that doesn't add anything, but forces players to either adopt and chase or keep a puppy they don't really want because they're sentimental lol |

I don't support removing the quest entirely. I like this quest; it gives me an excuse to browse the enclave and bring home a cute puppy. To address Rapirisu's concerns, even if you're a sentimental person (like me), you don't have to feel bad about this quest. - I typically try and find a cute and decent-stat pup at 3 months old, train them up fully, and then give them away to a new player. That way, the pup gets a good home in the end. - Other people adopt long-line enclave pups for r&c, which is very valid! - As a last resort, you could wait until 11 pm Wolvden time, adopt the most potato pup you can find, and chase it. That pup would get eaten by the bear on RO anyway, so you're just accelerating the process by an hour. |
