absolem forms whimsy pack and recruits many new wolves. kei, the apple of absolem's eye, bears his pups as if by magic; they are born on the same day they are conceived, and are named 'onishi' and 'takashi'. they both seem healthy, and resemble their father - protected by masaru, big things are expected of them both when they are grown. kei wishes for a daughter sometime in the future, as much as she loves her newborn sons. whilst kei is nuturing their children, absolem begins to discover new territories with the help of kiyoko. absolem remains distant from his pups. 🌾 // 20.10.2020
muko joins whimsy pack as a hunter. whilst on a hunt, petrichor gets into an argument with kei, kaori and amoeba, causing them to miss their chance at a kill. petrichor dislikes how kei leads the hunt, but the hunting party disagrees - they cannot reach an agreement. absolem orders that petrichor remain in the hunting party until one of his sons can take her place, and takashi is excited at the idea of helping with a hunt when he is grown. kiyoko informs absolem that they are close to discovering a new area in which he might be interested in - the grasslands. absolem does not grow any closer to his pups, though he is still extremely doting towards their mother, kei. 🌾 || 21.10.2020
petrichor, kei, kaori and amoeba resolve their differences, deciding that kei's hunting strategy, with minor improvements, suited them all. kiyoko has discovered a large amount of new territory in the grasslands, and hopes to continue her scouting in a different area. absolem spends a short-lived moment with his sons, after masaru took a break from pupsitting - though he does not dislike them, he questions if they'll ever be ready to lead the pack once he passes. absolem is worried about choosing an heir, and wonders if he will cause a disagreement between the brothers. it is spring, and all is peaceful, for the time-being. 🌾 ||  22.10.2020
nothing much happened today. the hunting party tracked down their first medium-sized prey, though it slipped from their grasp and they were unable to take it down. despite getting a bit scuffed and scraped, morale is high - working as a team, they begin to realise that they'll have a lot more opportunities to catch larger animals now that they get along. absolem grows stronger by the day, and news of the whimsy pack begins to spread.

lichen was taught seven new recipes by herbert, and is on her way to becoming an experienced herbalist. the hunting party brought back their first medium-sized prey. absolem contracted diarrhoea, but was thankfully cured by lichen - the appearance of illness seems to become more likely after today. onishi and takashi have finally weaned from their mother, and fool around their father's feet all day, occasionally tripping him up. absolem has warmed to his pups slightly, though he doesn't show it very well. he's becoming increasingly absent in the pack.

pack life has been at a standstill. prey is plentiful and the weather is good, leading to lethargy amongst the pack. kiyoko, kaori, amoeba and petrichor fall pregnant, though only kaori and petrichor's pups belong to absolem. the pack leader does not know this, nor does he know that the disloyalty stemmed from his inability to provide attention to anyone other than kei. kiyoko and kaori hope that absolem will accept the pups, no matter who the father was. absolem finds an abandoned puppy, and names her june. 🌾 ||  23.10.2020
absolem comes back from his morning trek with a strange new pelt, no longer as green as moss, but instead orange as a fox. though most of the pack like this new change, kei is confused - did absolem change his pelt just to look similar to june? onishi and takashi no longer resemble him, and this worries their mother; what if absolem had decided that he no longer wanted them, as their pelts are not up to his standards? the pack grows larger, and as winter nears, absolem recruits more pupsitters to ensure the next litter's survival. |
