Yeti nodded. "I plan to stay,Ā I will go wherever Austria goes to ensure her safety." He looked at Austria as if questioning if she was staying. "I wanna stay.. I am expecting puppies.. and it wouldn't be wise to leave, especially if more of Night's wolves are astray." Austria said softly, earning a mildly shocked glance from Yeti, having learned she was pregnant at such a young age. Yet he saved it for later, as he knew she had enough stress already.
"You must know that the pack will decide, Austria will have no say. We have food but we need to decide whether you can actually help in the pack." Fy continued. A few wolves looked away again but some stayed focused on the conversation. "Our scouts and hunters will be making most of the vote, as they provide the most for the pack. Cariad, Gerigyn, Aerod, Tawel, Gwinau, Syniad, and Gwaed are our hunters and scouts. The pupsitters will have some say, as that's where you'll end up working if you stay. Be prepared for either option, just because you know Austria does not mean you'll have an ensured place in the pack."
He nodded in understanding, Austria flattened her ears slightly she knew pack law and she knew sometimes it wasn't the most pleasing at times. Yet she knew that packs had hard months in Winter and needed plenty of food, and she understood they needed to limit all the mouths to feed. She sighed softly as she awaited the pack's decision. If he were to stay, she knew he would work hard and do his best, as will she. And if he is to leave, she would raise her pups here and will need to leave the pack and take her pups when they wean to find more survivors of her pack with Yeti. She knew they were out there, yet she wouldn't know who else survived.
"We'll tell you later, the hunters are out right now. In any case, you can stay in the nursery for a night or so. After that, if you can't stay, we'll give you food for the morning and to take with you." Fy stood up again. "Right now, Austria will take you around the camp a bit. My mate is in my den, don't disturb her, and stay out of the hunters and scouts dens. Don't go near the cave Night is in either."
Austria nodded and she turned, gently brushing her tail on Yeti's shoulder, signaling him to follow. She led him around and showed him around the camp, avoiding the places Fy instructed not to go. Soon she led him to the prey pile and they shared a rabbit. After that, it soon started to get dark. She led him to the nursery and they quietly padded inside. She made a nest for him and he gently helped her lay down properly, given her pregnant belly. He rested his head on her side gently and fell asleep, AustriaĀ drifting off to sleep as well.
"Calm down! Don't worry, if he stays he'll be a sitter!" Fy called and soon the hunters fell quiet. It was true, with the abundance of pups more sitters would be needed. "So, all agree?" There were a few sighs but yes, Yeti would stay. "Wonderful. Sleep well everyone!"
The next morning, most of the pack was up and moving. Cariad and Chlau sat together, discussing the move to the Rainforest. It would help the pack and definitely get stats up but it'd be annoying with the new pups to look after as well.
Yeti awoke and left Austria to rest, he silently padded out and stretched, as usual, he instinctively sat at the edge of camp, ready to take orders. He looked around the camp a little, the view was beautiful here, and he enjoyed the look of the camp. But of course, he wasn't sure if he was able to stay, but he just waited, prepared for theĀ travel, otherwise he was ready to get straight to work.
Fy padded over to Yeti. "You can stay. Some wolves aren't the happiest, so be sure to keep on your best behaviour. You'll become part of the pack soon enough, don't worry." She smiled slightly, touching her nose to his shoulder before walking off again. The hunters needed to show her a new party they decided on, and where the less experienced wolves could hunt.
He nodded respectively, he watched her leave and he looked around, unsure of his first assignment. He positioned himself into a lay and Austria awoke and padded out. She padded over to Yeti and sat next to him, the two chatted a little as Yeti waited.
Nosau, the lead pupsitter, padded over. "Yeti, is it? Right, we have about fifteen pups that aren't quite the smartest and with winter we're rather spread out. They're all unweaned, all in the nursery, so you just need to make sure none stray off. A few have hunters for parents so they'll be staying in a different den for the night. The rest are in the nursery full time."
