Inuk looked at them both deeply, as well as her daughter. Perhaps he just needed some more rest? She thought. Maybe a therapy session with Flutterfoot or Heather would help, they were herbalists after all, and Flutterfoot was a guiding spirit. Inuk curled her tail to her side. Perhaps she could even have her packs' Druid Chemukh take a look at him, she was very skilled in translating visions and unknown energies. She often worked hard with their herbalist to create mixtures and broths to cure not only your sicknesses and injuries, but to heal your mind, heart and spirit. Inuk always wanted Chemukh to meet Flutterfoot anyways. She tilted her head to the girl and pointed her muzzle towards the den Blue was resting in, attempting to see where she thought she should put Blue next. She looked at the girl and awaited for her gaze to leave Blue's. Perhaps she would understand what she was asking. Hawke sat there beside her mother, not showing much emotion. She looked blankly as she observed every interaction and what was happening to this wolf, this was the wolf her mother had ran off to aid the minute she had returned home. Hawke wasn't sure what to think, and she wished to return home again. She wanted to remind her mother that they were supposed to be moving back to the taiga today. Inuk could see her daughters restlessness, and stood up beside her as she looked at the young girl. (Gotcha! Good to know!^^) |

Then, Blue slowly put his paw on her, tapping her a bit. His eyes still looked frantic, and it might indeed be a good idea to bring him to the druid. So.... Maybe Chemukh could figure out what was wrong with him? As Nellie cried, and hugged him, Blue slowly came to his senses again, and slowly, he hugged back more and more until he was full on hugging and relaxing. Then, he blinked, and returned to his senses. He smiled a little awkwardly, in a grin that showed his teeth. ''S...So uh....'' he said, confused. ''....What were we talking about again?'' Then, he looked down to Nellie on his neck and gently pushed her away with his paw. Why was she hugging him? Oh no! She was crying! Did... did he do that? He whined a little, starting to lick the tears from her face. Yikes, that was salty! As always... he vaguely remembered something from when he was a pup... He layed in the den, in the comfy nest of grass and dried herbs. Nellie and him slept there, together, and she always hugged him in her sleep with a smile on her face, even when in a slumber. But when he arrived there.... he woke up to her, and she woke up to him, and she started... Well, leaking. Her eyes started leaking! Blue felt sad, and started licking her face with his little tongue, whimpering all along. Why was it salty? He made a funny face at it, and that made Nellie laugh. Oh, that makes you laugh? Then he'd do that! So he tried to do funny things in order to make her laugh! He was hurt tho, and thus not good at it, so she took him to the pack. He shook his head again. ''....S....So... What were we talking about again?'' He asked. Wait, Nellie was crying! Oh, she stopped and laughed due to the licks. Concerned, he put his head on her shoulder and pulled her in a little, which made her relax and lean against his chest. He let her lean and looked at the two wolves, waiting for an answer on his question. ''But... uh... What are we talking about again?'' |

Her expression changed once Blue licked her face, getting rid of the many tears. Inuk grinned as he was certainly able to bring her spirit back up, just as well the other way around. Inuk looked to the frantic and thoughtful Blue as he looked back up from the girl whom he was much bigger than even when sitting it seemed, Inuk smiled and nodded as he looked as though he wasn't feeling as lost. She smiled as he asked what they were talking about again. "Well.. I'm glad you are alright Blue..I know this has probably all been very draining.." "Would you like me to find Heather to come look at you? Or maybe you'd just like a rest with your human for the night." "I'd like for you to meet a packmate of mine soon.. she's a very skilled Druid, who specializes in interpreting visions and reviving guidance and answers from those beyond. I'm sure she'd be able to help you figure out what you've been experiencing.., that is if you're up for the meeting" "I'd just like for you to be aware.. as my pack does often, now that we've had a good winter pass, we often move back to our taiga territory.. which as you know is quite a ways further than our mountain home.." |

Remember that golden wolf, the dad of the pups that jumped Inuk like a tiny hunting party? *He died*) |

Before Inuk could answer, a frantic voice started calling out. ''HELP! HELP!'' Out of breath, the mother of the pups came out of the den, for the first time since she had her pups. ''It's...'' she panted. ''It's GoldEye....'' Nellie looked frantic as she scrambled with Blue to the Junior den, where a nest of pups surrounded their father, whimpering, whining and crying out, nudging him. He didn't respond.... They were fully trained, just today, and were having their final lesson in howling... and they never even got to share it with their dad. What was wrong with him? Why didn't he respond?! ''I was just.. He was... and now he's... I was just sleeping together with him in the nest, I swear, I didn't do anything!'' Then, her ears flopped. ''I think he's.... I think he's....'' And after that, she broke down, not speaking anymore and unable to finish her sentence. I think he's dead. Nellie softly let herself fall slowly on her knees, tearing up and hesitating to touch the wolf's fur. ''Blue...'' she whispered. ''....Go get Heather. Please.'' Blue seemed to understand and he hadn't said anything during this whole time. Only a herbalist could call the death. And they'd need Flutter too... After a while, Heather came in, eyes wide as she saw GoldEye. She wasn't even a true herbalist yet... And this was a horribly sad way to start it. But she knew she had to do this, and only she. With an encouraging, but sad nod from Flutter, she gently pushed her nose into GoldEye's fur. And then looked up and away. ''....He's passed. I....I'm sorry,'' she said, trying to look at Glare. The cry she let out next went through bone and marrow, and chilled everyone in the pack. |

Inuk couldn't ask herself anymore questions until Nellie ran over to assess the situation. Her eyes were teary now as well, and she whispered to Blue. Heather, Inuk heard. They needed Heather..that wasn't good…Inuk now thought that the worst must've happened from what she was hearing.. her ears sunk down as well as her tail as she heard the news. She was ready to run to get help as well, but it seemed the others were already on the case. Hawke stood startled beside her as the frantic stranger came stammering out, and she wasn't sure what to do. Inuk shouted for her to stay put, as she followed Blue and the others as Heather ran to the den Goldeye was staying in. Inuk didn't go in with them all, but instead stood readily by if they needed any help. She could hear the muddering and talk as Heather slowly emerged to tell the bad news.. he was gone. The poor father of all those young pups was now gone.. Inuk's heart sunk for the wolves, and especially the mother, whom now let out a wail and cry known and heard by all wolves who have lost a mate.. and Inuk gazed at her with full empathy and sorrow as she silently gave her condolences.. everything else would have to wait, as now there was probably going to be a ceremony for Goldeye. Inuk lowered her head in respect, almost ready to give a traditional howl of grief for the lost father, but she waited to give the others, his close loved ones a chance to start first. |

She guessed he was pretty old, but still... This was the first ever wolf death in the entire pack, and it was hitting the wolves very hard as well as the human of the pack... But the hardest hit was dealt to Glare, who had now collapsed upon where she had cried, and was shivering. She even ignored her puppies, whom other wolves have had to pull away from their deceased father and with their mother. Now they kind of didn't have anyone to look over at them... Out of the den, a shaken up Nellie appeared. ''W...We should... we should...'' She took a deep, shaky breath. GoldEye felt so off... She wasn't as close with him as some of the other wolves, and she felt guilty for that now. They should say goodbye... did anyone really get to say goodbye? Glare? The puppies? The hunting party.. Oh no... They were missing a Chaser now... ''I...'' Starting to cry again, she didn't realize Blue was not next to her anymore. She didn't know what to do... ''M-maybe..'' Heather walked over and stood next to her, shaking and her eyes closed as her head hung low. ''Burial will be later... t-today? I-I don't know... I mean... You will be able to say goodbye to GoldEye as we move him to the Quarantine Den... P-please do pay respect... and uh... You should... L-M-I-I'm sorry....'' And she left. All the wolves respectfully turned away when some of the Fighter Wolves helped move GoldEye to the Quarantine Cave, where Flutter and Heather then pulled back to prepare the cave and the burial. |
