Nellie and Inuk’s private RP 🦋🌲

Nellie kind of backed up as she watched that wolf. Was he trying to be tall and big and all? Uhm... uh oh? But as he proudly sat down, she tried to stop a chuckle, failing partly. ''Yknow,'' she said to Blue, ''that wolf reminds me of.... You,'' she chuckled. Blue tilted his head up to her. Him? Whaaat, no waaay! I mean come onnnn, surely he'd NEVER do that! ...And then he said up proudly pawing the ground. Look at what a good boy he was. Right? He was a good boy, right? He excitedly had his face lit up towards Nellie, wagging his tail a little. If anything, he really seemed like an excited dog that'd love his owner dearly and was super loyal. Nellie chuckled lovingly, then seeking comfort in his long, soft fur. He was so fluffy... She started petting him and eventually ended up kneeled down next to him, cuddling him. He was a little distracted, but he did try to listen to the other wolves, whilst clearly overflowing with joy and excitment at all the attention from his human. ''W....Wait what?'' He said, confused. Hunters were more towards the woods? ''I...'' he began, then shaking his head. ''It might just be a lone hunter? But I don't know why he shot something, when he could've just... hit his prey?'' Then he thought for a while. ''...shot, I think that was the word.'' He shook his head. ''But... we gotta warn- WAAAH!!'' He exclaimed then, jumping up and partly turning around so that Nellie got pushed to the ground and fell. A brown-ish wolf stood there, rather young, thin, and had come out of the bushes, tongue out of her mouth. ''Hi!'' She said. She glanced towards the other wolves too, but focused on her alpha mostly. ''I just came from that woods you send us towards, and I know I'm not a scout, but I wanted to make it hear and say that everyone made it safely. Plus, that was my first scouting mission on my own then!'' At that, her already steadily wagging tail wagged a little faster. She'd scouted as an apprentice, sure, and got path finding lessons as a puppy, but this... None of the scouts were retired, so she had to wait until they retired from their role, and then she coudl take over, but she was trained... well a little too early. So mostly she hung around bored. Her scout senses kicked in; she wanted adventure! She was even placed in the Fighter Cave because of lack of hunters. She didn't really like hunting tho. She loved scouting! ''Ashen and Lance are back there, but I did let them know where I was going. I followed your scent!'' Blue, still a little shaken, felt obligated to answer. ''....Uh, yes uh, good, that's good. T-they're uh, they're thinking about going there now, but I feel like I have made them wait long enough with my pack trouble. It's time to celebrate and honor their pack now, especially when their alpha has done so much for ours already. Uh....'' He looked at Inuk questiongly. Now what, he couldn't invite someone along just like that, but sending her off like that.... he also would feel kinda bad for that. He got distracted by the druid tho, and perked his ears, whilst the young wolf waited patiently behind him, showing no sign of aggression, just staying put and calmly watching, tail slightly raised but rather low, a relaxed pose, ready to listen and take orders. Really, any orders, even from the other wolves as long as her alpha approved of them. ''oh,'' he then said. ''what about the pups?'' The wagging started again. ''Safely delivered, and I think they should have a nest by now, just a bundle of joy with their mother. Four pups, two males, two females, and one runt, but unlike the last nest this one is treated well by his siblings.'' ''Good, good,'' he muttered, laying down now, thinking. ''Visions...'' he sighed. ''I don't know... I don't know...'' He seemed worried, but also tired. Tho this was the first time he really gave orders in presence of Inuk and the other wolf. ''nice to meet you,'' he eventually told the wolf. Nellie was still stroking him, trying to keep him calm. |

Inuk was still focusing on her conversation, as Blue contemplated the new wooded territory..but the silence was broken once there was a sudden startle. A young brown wolf came flying from the bushes, not much different to how Komats sped though them earlier. Inuk quickly looked over it see it was a member of Blue's pack, she was relieved. She listened as Blue collected himself again and spoke to the young female. Inuk was happy to hear what she had to say.. thank Dahmahaw nothing occurred while they were gone, now that they were there safe, everything should be alright. That also meant Flutterfoot was alright too, which made Inuk very pleased. Inuk smiled to the young female, a quiet welcome to this little meeting. With the wolf's news, it sounded as though it was about time for Blue to head home with them and make sure everything was settled. That also meant it was time for Inuk to return home to make sure her own pack was well into the taiga territory.. she thought for a moment as Chemukh once again spoke to Blue. "I can see you are rather nervous with talking about the visions, that is okay, it is best not to dwell in spiritual matters without a clear head anyways, a cluttered mind can provide distorted and corrupt answers" she spoke ominously. "I'm sure Inuk will send you to me when the time is right. It was a pleasure to meet you." Inuk nodded to Chemukh, than changed the subject. "I'm thrilled to hear your pack is safe, as well as the new little ones" she smiled. "I'll be glad to hear any more news from you..I suppose it's about time for you to return to them, hm?" "I should be tending to my pack as well, it's been long since I've been with them all, and I do..have some burials I need to host.."she sighed a bit saddened for a moment. "Tell the others Inuk wishes them well". Before Inuk could speak some more, the herbalist Finche came up from his quiet posture to whisper something to Inuk. Inuk's eyes widened as Finche gave her some recent news, that Hawke had just given birth to four pups. Inuk smiled happily, while also looking back to give her daughter a stern look. "You should be heading back to them now, hm?" Hawke nodded than turned around quickly to leave. "It truly looks as though we both have some matters to tend to" she smiled to Blue. I can always have one of our bird companions send you a message if I can't reach you quickly" |

''Oh no, that's-'' He said, only to be met by Inuk also having to do stuff with her pack. ''....Alright.'' he then filled in the sentence, trying to change the sentence in the middle too, since he was going to say he didn't *need* to go back; his sister could handle this. Blue too, got sad by this news, and his ears sunk. ''Oh... I'm sorry to hear that.'' Scouty interrupted this. ''Well, come on then, it looks like both our packs will be busy, and sending a messenger is a very good idea. I volunteer myself! I love scouting!'' ''Yeah, alright'' Blue said, then turning to the weird spirit wolf... were they like Flutter? He was a little bewildered and just answered, mumbling. ''Oh... okay that's... mhm.'' He just nodded as if he understood everything the wolf said. Yup yup. Eeeverything made sense. Blue flopped his head down on his paws and sighed, looking like a sad dog, really. Scouty felt shy, but kind of confident too, as this was about messaging and updates, and that was something she loved and would love to help with. ''Well, I don't know about birds,'' she chuckled, ''but I can give updates if that is something both of the packs would want. With an ally, if it's alright with my alpha, I can also volunteer myself to do stuff for you guys as well.'' She looked at Blue, who just moved his ears a little. ''Yeah sure, sure.'' He really was not present. ''Well, that's set then. I can travel between packs if that's alright, and do stuff for both packs!'' The young female felt confident and really at place this time... Wow, she did this!! She really did this! She felt so much older than she was, and she couldn't handle her little pride moment, wagging her tail, closing her eyes in delight and panting with her tongue out, hopping from one paw to another. ''Good luck, and I'll see you later!'' She said, then rushing back towards the bushes, forgetting all about asking permission to Inuk. A distant voice as she said something for one last time whilst vanishing, running away to the horizon; ''I TRUST YOU'LL GET HOME SAFELY!!'' Directed towards Blue. |

She looked at him with a softer smile, with a bit of a laugh. "I hope you know I very much enjoy my time with you and Nellie. I'm also sure you'd stay if I asked, but I'm sure your pack might be missing you, at least for now, even if your sister is very capable of watching over them. I believe for the time being..they might really need you, and you might really need them. I can imagine it's probably been a bit hard for you lately.. Inuk quickly svivled her ears as he heard the energetic female perk up and speak, and Inuk smiled to her, as she gave her input on the matter of messengers. Inuk turned to the somewhat melancholic Blue. "Well, it looks like we won't have to worry if a message needs to be sent quickly." She giggled. Inuk listened to Scouty's long explanation of their just now established , intricate plan for messaging and tasks, the female seemed she had it all under control, and eager to get any job done, Inuk was pleased. Before she could give her say, the female had run off, with Inuk left admiring her determination. "Well, I see everything is alright by you, I too agree to her being our messenger, I believe this will actually be very efficient and a good way to have the packs talk amongst each other, she is a swell young scout." Inuk gleamed. "And now, she wont have to travel as far, all she'll have to do is cross the coniferous forest, and into our territory near the Taiga's creek. Let her know she has my permission to enter our territory as she pleases." Inuk looked at him with an eager expression. "I'm sure this will lift some weight off you as well…If you need us, simply give a message. I shall let my wolves know to keep an eye out for an energetic brown female. If you see a large bird of prey near your territory, it might be from me" Inuk walked up from her spot to meet his gaze. She placed a paw outward, near where his was placed on the ground. "I believe I may count you as an official ally hm? and a friend." She smiled as she bowed her head. |

Blue nodded. ''Besides Glare and GoldEye - I'm sure Danté is watching over them as we speak- some of our wolves are aging too, but the problem is I cant take care of many wolves and puppies. So it seems we'll have some gaps, but we'll work it out. Scouty is already eager to take over her position as a scout, she's been training ever since she was born... Ever since she opened her eyes and went away from her mother's milk. For now tho, she's had to step in as a hunter, but... Ashen is getting of age as well. She'll step in as the next scout.'' Then, he sighed. ''Yeah, we should make up camp for now, and if we stay for longer, we might want to, as you said, dig in under tree roots. It's gonna be a lot of work, so I should get tasks going and I'll get Ashen and Lance out to scout out the Forest whilst we do it. We've had to leave behind the entire hoard... So we should also move back and clear that one out to bring over supplies with us. Seeing as the bullet was so fresh, we didn't really have the time to... But I bet I can get Scouty- Mm, no, too dangerous. Ashen might be capable, he's really strong, and Lance is really good at not making himself known- so maybe he should go- ah, uhm-'' he was really thinking out loud on this one, but he stopped as Inuk talked again. Scouty was indeed really eager to get this all done; yay, tasks! And a job! And... exploring!! She immediatly ran back home, great speed, to bring the news of what she thought would be the new ally. And she maybe had to tell the older ones in her cave that she had a job! Oh, but the Juniors tho... They'd been hunting together. She made a pretty good chaser, but her heart and skills layed with scouting. Blue nodded. ''I will,'' he simply said, because he realized she hadn't even stopped to ask her permission. She'd never gotten the lesson on manners as a puppy, so even tho she was getting of medium age, he thought he should very well step in and teach her some manners, just before she went into the territory. He wanted her to make a good impression. Never fight with the pack until it was absolutely nessecary, so you had to keep a VERY respectful and non-dominant position. If they threatened you, you just had to tell them you understood, and if there was a chance, bring in your reason with a BUT. And if they tried to strike, you had to try and dodge and give multiple warnings. If that didn't work, only then you fought. Try to hold back at the start and get a defensive position, but if they kept going, or if you were getting hurt, then by all means, fight. He didn't want his wolves to get hurt at all. His thinking about what he'd teach her - and maybe send another with her for the first few times - got interrupted by Inuk. Oh... well that might be a problem. Some wolves *really* liked hunting birds. The wolves Minra trained to be the new Junior Hunting party for example really liked it as a puppy, which is when she started training them because they were doing it wrong according to her. Blue didn't think they were actually expecting to catch it, just trying to have some fun, but the result was descendants of Glare and GoldEye that were very strong and capable hunters. So he wasn't complaining. And, in the end, they did get their bird, and all by themselves too, because Minra refused to just simply do it for them. ''That's not how they learn, they have to do it on their own, or they'll never survive in the wild!'' Was one of her many statements. She also called wolves and pups weak and strong. Blue didn't agree at all with some of her methods, but they worked, and teaching kept her calm, so as long as she stayed in line and didn't make puppies like Heather cry, he just let her be. ''I'll uh,'' he said, really stressed about the bird thing now. ''I'll try. I just hope I can get the message to everyone... I'll tell Scouty.'' Then, he thought of something and quickly added ''Oh, and if you need help, send a message as well! Tho I'm not sure if our wolves can understand all birds... Nellie I think is familiar with the bird as a messenger, but no one can read the scribbles she puts and gives with the birds....'' |

Congrats on ur jelly! Blue can be immortal now ) Inuk agreed with him as he spoke about scouty, the wolf was certainly energetic, but she seemed like a quick learner, so she'd have more rounded manners and patience soon, Inuk wasn't too worried. She nodded her head once he got to the subject of their new home, and settling in. He was right, Inuk hadn't even thought about their hoard, it was left once they had to hastily evacuate the territory. She was certain his wolves and scouts, as well as scouts on training were capable of handling the supplies back and forth. Inuk looked at him. "You are right, it would be dangerous to send her as an apprentice, let alone send any scout alone, especially if the hunter is potentially still around there. Often times, hunters will come back to the same area for days, so it would be wise to at least send two wolves together" she agreed. Inuk sat comfortably for a moment as Blue thought. She perked her head as he had a worried expression once she talked about the bird messengers, she had forgotten they had loved to chase them, and it wouldn't be fair to send one and expect no wolf to try and go after it. Inuk sat for a moment and thought to herself. "Don't worry about it..I don't want to stress you more by trying to keep a bunch of wolves from eating a bird- that sounds rather silly as I say it" she chuckled. And you are right, as much as it is difficult to even understand her oral language, it'd be much harder to try and read her written one.. we actually use a type of written language called ogham, but many wolves in Wolvden aren't familiar with it, so we adapted a new way. We use a series of common symbols to send basic messages. Such as, a picture of an elk bull with an upward facing arrow, would mean prey is running well" she exclaimed. "A symbol of a wolf's head with a red paw across its face, usually means we are in danger or at war. It can be confusing at times, but it becomes easy to learn, no language needed." She grinned. "I could teach you some symbols soon if you'd like one more way to send messages, just in case Scouty or no wolves are able too at some point" Inuk bowed her head, as she looked back towards Chemukh and Finche. Komats had already rushed off to follow his sister home. |

And yessss ugh I've had SO MANY close calls and then I get like, 2 SC xD) ''hmmm..'' He said, still thinking on the matter. ''It's getting colder, so I could send out the hunters, but that'd most likely not do a lot. And there's a lot of food and toys back there as well as medicine, I wouldn't want it to rot. Well, tell you what, if you want you can take what you need or want as long as you find it above the ground. We uh, we bury a lot of stuff that wolves get attached to. There's a tuggy tendril under the ground,'' he chuckled. ''And some spare sage for rituals. That kind of stuff as well as a lot of strange herbs we found and couldn't identify... not even Heather, but Flutter looked worried with them. We couldn't find a single use for them except nesting and puppies, so we buried them for if we could use them later. But anyways, take what you want when it's not buried. Oh, uh. I'm sorry to add another demand, but except the Healing Salves.... Heather worked super hard at those! And I think Nellie will be able to learn that language...'' He looked at Nellie, who now was just wandering around a bit, looking at some bushes and trees. Ah yes, very interesting indeed. He had no idea what she was doing, but in his energetic wolf type personality eyes, she looked bored. He cheered up a little at that, and started wagging his tail a little, his face just a little away from lighting up again. ''hey, I think Nellie can learn that! And Flutter has one of those grey birds that constantly follows her around but sometimes it's gone so! Maybe we can try learning Nellie, then she can send messages and read them!'' Now, his face really lit up. ''If you befriended any ravens, we don't mess with those! .....'' He went silent. ''....And with turkeys. Those are mean.'' He whined a little, getting thrown back to one of his first hunts. He'd found a HUGE turkey and if he could catch it, it'd be all his! But uh... the wind was the wrong way and the turkey pecked him. He had a headache for days after being chased by that noisy thing!! Just thinking about it made his headache threaten to return... Nellie laughed at him. It *was* after all a little ridiculous as a sight, a turkey chasing a wolf who was running for his life whilst being pecked on his head. Yeah... not one of his brightest moments. At all. He looked a little -oh well, a lot- embarassed as he even thought about it. But hey, he was just an adoscelent! How was he supposed to- okay he was supposed to know, alright he admitted it. ''......Soooo I'll uh... try to send the bird from Flutter okay bye now-'' And without a word, he darted past Nellie. ''Hey!'' She shouted, but he didn't listen. ''Where are you *going*?!'' Awkwardly, she looked at Inuk, then shrugged. ''Well uh... Bye, I guess then.'' She smiled a little, before dropping another Grouse Carcass for the wolf, then going to follow Blue. She didn't seem to be in a hurry this time, just walking along with him as he ran in the distance, already distracted and chasing a butterfly. |

Inuk had a smile as she shook her head, "You are as kind as ever Blue, but truly, I shall leave all your supplies to support your pack..if I happen to go wander past your old territory, and I find a spare feather perhaps, I might take that to give to the little ones of your wolves find no use to bring it home" she grinned. I'm certain Heather has been working very hard.." she exclaimed quietly. "Im sure the new pups would love to meet you soon enough, although even I haven't met them yet, as they were born while I was gone here. Im not sure how many to expect." She chuckled a bit, pleased to have little paws in her territory again. She perked her ears as Blue mentioned Nellie. "I'd be thrilled to have her attempt to learn It! I'll use the symbol version first, it's much easier to memorize the patterns. It would prove very useful, especially since it takes time to travel between packs." Chemukh turned to look at him once he mentioned Ravens. It was true, indeed they had a Raven companion, that one belonging to Chemukh herself. Chemukh suddenly lifted her paw, and struck it harshly to the ground, emitting a low sound. Out of some large pines, a large black Raven came gliding down to join Chemukh at her shoulder. It cawed loudly in Blue's direction, almost as though agreeing to his statement. Inuk turned to bow her head towards the large bird before turning back to Blue. She chuckled sincerely at his unfondness towards turkeys. "Well, fortunately, none of my wolves have yet bonded with one yet." She smiled. As Blue conclude his story, it seemed his usual energy caught ahold of him, as once again, he had suddenly rushed off and disappeared. Not without a sincere goodbye of course, Inuk took no offence to it. She nodded as he was out of sight. Inuk turned, as Nellie approached her, gifting her another grouse for her travels. Inuk looked at her and bowed her head, as Nellie couldn't understand her verbal goodbye, Inuk slightly touched her nose to her hand, to say farewell. Inuk spoke a last sentence to her. "I believe I'll be speaking with you soon." Inuk grinned before she as well, turned to head home. She walked to stand beside Chemukh and Finche, eager to hear the packs news. |
