Nellie and Inuk’s private RP 🦋🌲

Inuk was a little worried as, by attempting to make him feel a little more confident about bears, perhaps she just frightened him more.. I mean, she didn't view the death of the grizzly as a victory, as much as it was a victory they protected their home.. perhaps she should take the bear paw down from her cave before he entered.. she thought. Even though it served as a protective talisman.
She walked ahead as Nellie came up, maybe having him with Nellie by himself for a moment would calm his nerves. By habit, she spotted a a tree a little ways away with some sticky fresh sap on the side, and so she trotted off to go take a look, leaving Blue to calm down a little.
She was busy taking a look at the sap, and went over to a birch tree to collect a roll of bark, which she then wrapped the sap up into. As she was fiddling with it, by the time she could see Nellie and Blue catching up to her, Blue's expression looked nothing like before, he looked a lot happier now. Goodness, I wonder what cheered him up, she thought. And she sat by the tree as she waited for them to reach her.

''Oh, I know that stuff!'' He said. It was not true. He did not know that stuff. ''It's super sticky and... sweet? I think? It smells sweet, but I hate it! ....Cuz it's sticky. And it doesn't even taste good! I mean, I thought it was honey, but nooo!'' His face went a little down in mood at that. ''Should've known... bees never share.''
Nellie looked a bit curious, but she didn't say anything.
''That being said,'' he said, then looking around as if sharing a consparicy; ''You better run,'' he whispered ''before the bees come back.''
And with that, he trotted off to Nellie, who also out of habit threw him a small meat chunk. She chuckled as Blue caught it out of the air a bit clumsy and smacked as he ate it. Then, she looked a bit awkard at the other wolf. ''Ohh...'' She said. She hadn't realized that someone else may be jealous, and she didn't think it was fair to only give one wolf something. But... should she just... She awkwardly moved a little towards the wolf, but stopped. ''Uh... here you go...?''
Clumsingly, which she never really was whilst feeding a wolf, she threw a small meatchunk at the wolf. She was very anxious and shy about all of this, but she still did it.

(Imagine Inuk not knowing what to expect and then she gets meat... thrown... and it lands in her face)

Inuk wagged her tail as Blue came forward, and she laughed quite a bit at his comments on her sap, she'd never heard a wolf mistake sap for honey, but it was fair, they did look the same, but they certainly didn't taste the same!, Inuk was curious as to when he first tasted some, she didn't eat it, she used it for tools and making containers and medicines. He was right, sap was extremely sticky, that's why she made a great effort for it not to get in her fur, she used the bark. Sap was very hard to get out of your fur..often times she would have to steam water over hot coals than melt the pieces away. and suddenly, Blue ran off after giving her a cryptic message on the bees.
"bees?! there's no- this is tree sap!" She laughed but she didn't expect him to hear as he already ran off.
He came back quickly with Nellie, with a little piece of meat stuck to his muzzle, and what was left of some blood. That certainly smelt tasty, she thought as she grinned. She then looked up as Nellie came up to her, holding another small meat chunk, and she looked up at her. Was she giving it to her?, as Inuk was almost waiting for the girl to reach her arm out, the chunk came flying towards her, and she definitely wasn't familiar with jumping up to grab it, but she did try! As she was half stunned in confusion, she went to grab the chunk with it falling straight on top of her muzzle. Welp! her large tongue came up and licked it straight in her mouth, swallowing most of it without chewing, and she looked up at Nellie still stunned from the flying chunk, and she wagged her tail. She'll have to remember that for next time. The girl will throw you food.

(Lol that was fun to wright, Inuk definitely didn't think shed get meat thrown at her)

Blue had caught it effortlessly but still indeed a bit clumsy. And then came indeed a very shy and hesitating Nellie. She smiled shakingly as the wolf wagged her tail, and it was partly her fault, because her throw was hesitant, and thus not very easy to catch either...
And, as Blue was thinking about wether to laugh or not to laugh, Nellie put her hands on her mouth in shock. ''Sorry!'' She said, ''I didn't mean to, I, well I just throw it to all the wolves and they catch it and eat it and they love small meat chunks that I prepare, and I also do have a medium one if you'd prefer that one it's right here in my satchel, but I also have some fish although that was a gift for your pack, but you know, we can try again, or no, scratch that I won't ever do it again, I am so sorry I didn't mean to slap you with meat-''
The girl was talking fast and rambling, and deep down she was really scared of having disrespected this alpha, and either having ruined their first ally or having a new enemy...

Inuk shook her head to get any excess meat off, and looked up at a frozen Nellie, and a hysteric Blue. Inuk grinned and eyed the wolf as he was keeping his muzzle shut trying not to laugh, and Nellie had hers covered by her hands, Inuk could easily tell it wasn't on purpose, by Blue's reaction, and by watching him perform his little jump for a snack quite a few times- she just hadn't expected hers quite yet, and so Inuk just sat for a moment as a lot of rambling words came from the girl. Inuk looked at her in confusion for a moment, perhaps Inuk appeared quite formal at times, so they weren't sure of her reaction to something- clumsy. But Inuk didn't really expect Nellie to be perfect, nor any other wolf for that matter, it was certainly by habit, every wolf she'd seen in this pack had jumped up at some point for a chunk of meat from Nellie! Inuk now kind of looked at it as a "formal" initiation into a growing friendship between her pack and this pack's unusual member.
Inuk looked at Blue than she laughed as well as Blue couldn't contain himself.
"Ah well, not what I expected, but it works" she smiled.
She looked back over at the girl, and made a small huff noise, and gave a small wag of her tail. She then shook her fur and walked up to the girl, than stood directly in front of her and bowed her head. As a way to say, "I forgive you, it's no problem", and kept her head down for a moment so the girl wasn't as frightened by any potential reactions.

As Inuk said that, Blue really couldn't not laugh, and so he did laugh. Loudly. So loud he even rolled over. This wolf was kinda weird, in his opinion. Collecting not good tasting honey and not even being scared of the bees coming after you, and not even scared of bears! But still, this was funny.
''Well,'' he said, ''she just throws it in the air and we get to catch it, and if we don't, well we still get to eat it.'' He got up again, rolling off his back. ''Well, she sometimes handfeeds too. She even went hunting for me when I was a puppy! That's where the pointy stick comes from,'' he said, then nudging his nose at the spear on Nellie's back.
''Oh, be careful!'' She said, turning to Blue only to be met with a 'charging' wolf.
....
Welp. That was it for her. The end-oh. What?
She stood confused and bounced back a little with her hands slightly raised as Inuk bowed her head and stood still.
''....Uhm..... okay...'' she said, confused as ever.
Then, she raised one finger. ''.....Where... is Flutter?''
She looked around and so did Blue. Flutter was nowhere to be found... Why was Flutter nowhere to be found?
Just at that moment, she heard a small huff behind her and Flutter came walking very slowly. Do you really need to go that fast, her entire expression said, as she huffed again. Nellie tried to hold in a chuckle. ''Oops... Sorry girl,'' she said, stroking Flutter's head. She enjoyed it, and closed her eyes for a bit.
''Okay,'' she said after petting Flutter. ''Now what we're all complete... I think we're set to go.'' She looked at the wolves questiongly. ''And,'' she said, trying to comfort Flutter. ''I'll try to make sure you don't stay behind.''

Inuk backed away now from the girl and looked to the now present, Flutterfoot. Inuk gave an apologetic nod. "My apologies.. I think when I ran up here to leave them some peace for a moment, we all got carried away with some- distractions.." she grinned to the elder, perhaps she would like to see the sap she collected?. Inuk grinned once more and looked over to Blue.
"Ah I can see that now" she chuckled. She looked to him as he nudged the very sharp and shiny spear on her back, "very clever, she's got no claws or fangs to use, that thing looks quite effective." She examined it for a moment. "It looks almost like somethings the birds will use if you watch them closely, my pack loves learning things from the local birds" she added.
"You don't suppose..Nellie has never used one of those, thunder sticks has she?.." Inuk asked him hesitantly. Thunder sticks were those long wooden and metal things that created a loud thundering noise when it was used to bring something down. By humans, that is. They were known to be invisible, no one ever knew where it would come from, the death. You could hear them near human farmlands and sled dog shelters, sometimes you'd hear them deep in the woods. If there was anything Inuk was afraid of, it would be any sudden loud crashing noise piercing the air. She sat for a moment as she awaited an answer from her friend, unsure of what it could be.

Flutter huffed a little, but didn't really mind after all. Oh well, left behind, what does it matter anyways. Not that she was really surprised anyways (I'm still trying to get my writing for Flutter flowing LOL she's in my mind rather undeveloped, so, sorry if she seems off and acts different at times), so who cares, right. In the sun, she sat down and waited for their conversation to be over, and she yawned. Oh hey, wait a minute, this would be perfect to gather herbs. But this time, she'd stay far away from those burning leaves!
''Yeah, Nellie makes all kinds of stuff, she crafts them and uses them! Tho sometimes, the other human comes, and brings some stuff, like the... well, the what you call care boar ox. That's what the other human brings. But he's nice too! He has white hair. And a human den! Nellie came as far as I know from there... and... somewhere else... but that's where she came from last time! Before she got to us! Or well, me, or well.. I don't know! But sometimes he comes and brings stuff! He never stays long tho...''
He tilted his head at Inuk's comment. ''...Birds? I tried tapping with one of those tap tap birds a few times, but they always get annoyed... I don't think they like me very much. But at least it's quiet after that!''
Then, he froze in shock. ''...Oh... I am so sorry, I gave you a bird carcass, and so did Nellie and waah! I should've never done that, I mean no disrespect to birds, we uh... well...'' a bit ashamed, he admitted it. ''...We just grab what we can... And... birds are... well... we grab them too... sometimes... if we can...''
He thought it'd be wise not to mention the entertainment of chasing birds in their pack... Yeah...
''B-but uh... '' He realized he had nothing to say that would make this better.

Then, he tilted his head. ''Th....Thunder sticks? I... I don't know what...'' He thought long and hard. Thunder sticks? What were thunder sticks?! Hmmm.... Was it Nellie's sharp stick? Maybe it was that thing where you had a stick and it flew with a rope and then it hit something? Or... No, it couldn't be that stone, small, handheld thingy... right?
Carefully, he sniffed Nellie's lower leg. Thunder stick?? Nellie didn't seem surprised at him doing this, and was watching Flutter gather herbs. There wasn't really anything around here tho, so she was mainly just gathering grass. If they were gonna get puppies, and they didn't have nesting material, they'd need some. She'd dry it later, or give it to Heather and then she'd weave it into nesting. Or well, maybe she'd let Nellie do the weaving. Or just tie it in each other... whatever fit these pups better.

Blue didn't smell any heavy air on Nellie, like when it was about to thunder, so he really didn't know what Inuk meant. ''D...Do you see it on her now, or?'' He said, tilting his head. Maybe he could... ''I can try and ask her to leave it in the den, or get rid of it or not use it? I...Is it the sharp stick?''
Confused and trying to find the cause, he now circled Nellie, sniffing, nudging and trying to find this mysterious thunder stick. Did she maybe mean those things that were used in the dark, with fire on them and they'd spark and make spark noises a little? It did somewhat resemble rain... but not thunder? Right?
