How do I give my wolves roles

To give a wolf a role, click on that wolf and then click their settings tab. You'll see a little bar that has options for puppsitter, hunter, scout and, eventully herbalist. These are the roles and you simply fill in the bubble of the one you want to make your wolf. One that's don't. Scroll to the bottom and hit update to update the info. From there you just have to throw your hunter onto a hunting party, choose their role in the hunt (stalker, chaser or finisher) and away they go

It won't let me pick certain roles for my wolf (scout and herbalist) why is that?

@Zohowler You can only have a maximum of 2 scouts and 1 herbalist - if you already have that amount, you won't be able to set other wolves as a scout or herbalist.

If you are talking about your main wolf, the one that leads your pack, it's because they can't have a role as they are already the lead wolf.

And only adults can have roles, so pups and adols don't show the role option until they reach 1yo.

If the role option is not showing up for an adult that is not your lead, then that may be a bug and you should report it in the bugbox.

Some roles are unlocked after you complete the tutorial quest about their specific role. Have you done all of them?
Keep in mind that the herbalist role is locked out until your 4th rollover, when the related quest become available.

If you have completed the tutorial quests and the roles in the setting tab are still greyed out, then it could be a bug.
