Which stats are best for every role?

Which stats are best for every role?

Hey all, I'm new-ish to Wolvden and am trying my best to be efficient, but I'm realizing that Wolvden doesn't operate exactly like Lioden (where I came from). I'm just wondering which stats are best for which role, like wisdom/smarts for herbalism. I remember Tala telling me which stats are good for each hunter sub-role, but I foolishly thought I'd remember, and then forgot.
Do stats affect the other roles too, like scout, pupsitter, and mentor? Is there somewhere that this has already been broken down and I can read about it?
Thanks in advance for any tips <3

There's a number of guides for the different roles and what stats are good for them, but to summarize:

  • Stalkers use Wisdom and Smarts.
  • Chasers use Speed and Agility.
  • Finishers just use Strength.
  • Herbalists will use Wisdom and Smarts at some point, but for now they aren't actually important.
  • Scouts will find different stats useful depending on which area they're scouting. More information here.
  • Like scouts, Mentors will find different stats useful depending on what lesson they're teaching.
  • Pupsitters don't user any stats.

Also, Lead Wolves use Strength, Speed, Agility and Smarts to battle. Strength is the most important one because you can win most of fights with this stat alone when you rely on latching.

Adding that for Mentors in order to receive the max stats from each lesson your mentor has to be at least 50% higher stats in the stat being trained. So if you have a pup with 100 in strength and are training strength the mentor has to be at least 150 strength, and so on. A lot of players have multiple mentors -using older hunters that are high in specific stats needed for that discipline. Using mentors that don't meet those requirements will either not get you the most possible gain, or even penalize you.

I can't open the scout stats link. Could someone tell me what scouts need? And what speed and smarts can be used for.

Scouts need at least 101 WIS to scout the Glacier, and at least 101 STR to scout the Rainforest. Those are the most difficult biomes. Easier biomes require less of their associated stats. Speed and smarts are good for exploring several biomes. Scouting a biome has a chance to give the scout +1 or +2 in the biome's associated stat.

DF-Speed
Gr-Speed
M-Speed
CF-Smarts
P-Speed
RW-Wisdom
De-Strength
Ta-Agility
S-Agility
Tu-Smarts
Gl-Wisdom
Ra-Strength

Scouts really need wisdom and strength only, I don't see any difference with other stats

@IceGiant-When you are first opening up the Biomes using a wolf with high stats that match the biome will open up faster. If you are trying to get the Taiga open for instance I usually put my highest agility wolf in as scout to get it done faster. Doing that speeds it up. I usually take 4-5 days max to open up all the biomes after they reset when I put in a new lead. So for that purpose the other stats absolutely matter. Once everything is open though I only am using ones I want to get strength or Wisdom higher in using Glacier and Rainforest
