Me too. I always feed them whatever is going go bad first, so I don't waste food.

Exactly , that would mean trashing a lot of food due to rot

You're still able to do it the old way though. I confirmed and you can.

Even if you take into account rot it's still useful: you can use the first, say, 40 uses of your walrus pups (the closest to rotting) and then click back and go into another pile.
It's also much more convenient for the one-use stacks. As someone who once had over 40 stoats and sometimes chose to sell my one-use foods to the raccoon rather than suffering through feeding it to my wolves, I appreciate it.

I'm not good at remembering how many uses per item, so the new way is still less convenient for me personally.

@CursedAlien what does remembering uses per item change? I'm confused.

It means that if an item has multiple uses, I'm not gonna remember naturally how many uses it has. And I don't remember how many items in the stack are going bad on a certain day either unless I go in and check, so I might as well do it the old way because I have literally no working memory.

Users need low mood wolves to convert toys into remnants. I wonder if wolves labeled as "low mood" will sell off.
