does forum search by user not work?

I just tried searching with my own ID in the "posted by" field, and I didn't find anything, even though I have posted a few threads. I tried doing some subject keyword searches and some found things but some didn't. Does forum search just not work well in general, or is there something more specific wrong with it, or was I doing something wrong?

Interesting, when I try searching your ID, I don't see any subjects. However, when I search mine, I do find the threads I've created. This might be an issue to check the bugbox for - it may have already been reported.

Oh right, I keep forgetting the bugbox is a separate thing instead of part of the forums. I didn't find anything there, maybe I should report it?

From what I've seen there is maybe just a delay on it, since threads from a couple of days ago will generally appear ok but new ones don't. Possibly the database doesn't update very often, or just on rollovers..?
