A Leader's Questions...

Amaris stared at Rain for a moment then said ''My pack is very particular about our pups. In my pack a pup has to have at least 200stats at birth, if it does not then we go to the looks of the pup. The pup must have at least 3 visible markings in order to stay in the pack. The pups that stay must have at least 275stats be the time they're 10months of age, if not they will be given away or chased. So all in all my pack takes fair care of the ones that stay.''

With that Amaris turned to the wolf beside her and asked ''Not to be nosey but how many wolves have you had leave your pack because of neglect?''

“We only ever have one main pupsitter. She takes care of the fittest pups, plus any runts. I was a runt myself, so I have to care for them. My own pups get a private pupsitter.”

Rose realized she cut someone off. “Oops! Nobody has ever left my pack.”

She turned to another wolf. “What was your first pregnancy, or your mate’s first pregnancy, like?”

Magic is happy to answer the wolf's question. for she has been listening to the other leaders talk. 

" my first pregnancy was exciting. because i knew i would be able to pass down my genes.  i was very happy to get pregnant with my first pups" says Magic.   

" i gave birth to two pups a boy and a girl. i loved them both" she says. 

at that time of her first pregnancy Magic didn't have a mate. so she breed with the pack's breeding male Flame.  

turning to another wolf "  had you ever had a litter with only one pup? why did that affect you"? Magic asks. 

Nyx's olive eyes grow darker, more sombre as the female glances at Magic, pondering over the question. It isn't a happy one. "No, all of my letters have had at least two pups," she replies quietly, yet the tone of her voice indicates the she-wolf is holding something secret from the other wolves. Though, deep on the inside, Nyx knows that some others have experienced the same pain and misery she has. "But while my first letter gave me a pair of wonderful daughters, only one survived," she hums quietly, trying not to descend deeper into the memories of the past; drowning in them won't do any good. "It was devastating. My first pregnancy ended in the death of a child and, even now, I still hesitate before deciding to have another litter. The face of my deceased daughter still haunts my dreams, too," it is never easy to lose a child and while Nyx has quite a few offspring new, she knows better than to take any of them for granted.

Licking her lips, she moves her eyes away from Magic with a thoughtful hum. It seems most wolves in the clearing are adamant on creating a tense, sombre atmosphere for their little 'game'. "Have you ever found yourself near death? What happened?" Fighting in the woods isn't anything unusual or shocking; Nyx herself has found herself covered in wounds and bruises after an unfortunate encounter with a bear or a pack of coyotes, fighting to the point where survival had felt like a distant dream.

Elda, feeling a bit uncomfortable due to all eyes being on her, hesitated a moment, then spoke: “I guess... one of the most recent times would have to be when I was exploring the Tundra. I had been trying to scavenge for food, just to stock up. I usually give a decent portion of my food to those who need it, which usually means I have to scavenge to find enough food for my pack to eat everyday.” She looked around at the other leaders, hoping that she was doing good so far. She’d never spoken in front of a crowd like this. Elda shook out her fur, cleared her throat, and continued, “Anyway... I was walking through the Tundra, when I encountered a pack of dogs with weird color-like accessories on them. They warned me off their territory, but I didn’t listen.” She lowered her head shamefully. “They injured me... pretty bad. I heard humans in the distance and was forced to flee as fast as I could.”

Elda turned to the leader beside her, glad she was finally done speaking. “Do you remember a time where another leader or wolf helped you out in your time of need? If so, what did they do for you?”

Starwing took a thoughtful expression and then said:

"Well, a blue/cream she-wolf helped me at the beginning after meeting Tala, and she gave me hunting advice and some food."

He stopped briefly, assessing the other wolves, ears twitching. He looked at the wolf in front of him and asked:

"Do you have a beta? Is he or she important to you?"

Magic turn to head. she has been listening to the other wolves talking. 

" yes , i have beta. his name is Winter Snow. He is my mate. Winter Snow is the second in charge. He is very important to me . because  he will keep the pack safe and give orders if i ever get really sick and unable to lead the pack"she says. 

Magic feels happy that is able to introduce her mate and the second in command Winter Snow. 

to keep the conversation going she asks " how did you meet your mate? how did you know you find the right match"?

Rose spoke up. “Fang and I grew up together! We were born into the same pack, but we’re not actually related. Fang had a crush on me right from the beginning, but it wasn’t until we were grown that I developed feelings for him. We now have a wonderful son and daughter.”

“Have you ever found yourself pregnant by a male other than your mate? How did you tell him?”

Magnolia of course hadn't even had a litter of pups before, this was her first. "I haven't, but our former Queen had. She had been visiting packs to form alliances, now that have failed, the alpha of one of the packs took interest in her. Only one pup was born from that litter, it was a sign of bad luck. Olive, the pup, is still alive and has recently had her trainee celebration. Amber was understanding about it." Magnolia was excited for her upcoming pups, and so was Amber.

She turned to a shy looking wolf. "What was one of the worst injuries you've ever had before?"

Amaris slightly turned to Magnolia and seeing that she could trust this wolf said ''I am to fast and skillful for my foes, therefore I have never had a injury, let alone a severe one.'' She said this with her head high and a smirk upon her lips.

Amaris then turned to a nearby stranger and asked ''How does your pack react to Runts and Largest Pups?''
