A Leader's Questions...

Snowden chuckled deeply his body rumbling with his amusement “well we don’t go about learning how to fly we would prefer our paws on the ground” he looked to the sky a moment then back at Bucharest “this season brought less pups into our hollows so the mothers have gotten to stay close and train their pups”

”I chose to help out with the few and taken to training my next heirs for the hunt. exotic pups and adolescents with the brightest of colors. Unfortunately to them the hunters who usually train havent been finding as much food as they could for the growing pack and I’m afraid we might lose a few older members this snowfall” he smiled sadly but knew the elders aging was inevitable 

Snowden cleared his throat and looked to the next alpha “say have you picked out a new heir yet? One you’ll take under your wing to train to become a mighty alpha” 

Birch stepped into the clearing as he heard Bucharest’s question & replied “ I’m not sure what training is like with wings, however training our pups is a tricky task especially since we only have one babysitter looking after 6 at the moment . “

Birch chucked himself a bit before continuing.

” when train our pups we check among their personalities, strengths & interests first before seeing what would be good training roles they would have. 

Then when they reach into young pup age or older, we assign them into daily tasks they have to do to in order to improve their strongest skills like cleaning the den, find the moss, climb the highest record & guess the scent. Yes they sound like games however it helps get the pups in a good mood while training & improves there knowledge & skills for the future. “

Birch faces over at a interesting looking wolf & replies.

” If you had mutated pups, how will you be able train them? “

Rain wasn't sure if she should answer, but ended up anyway. She took a moment to think, she had never had a mutated pup in her pack. "I suppose it depends on how they're mutated. If they are one of the horribly disfigured ones, I wouldn't even attempt it. I would put the poor child out of its misery. If they were healthier and could still live without pain, I would gage their strengths and train them accordingly. For example, if they were deaf, I would set it up to wear they can learn to rely more on their other senses, perhaps even a bird to help them with sounds." The gray shewolf may seem cruel, but she wasn't going to get rid of an otherwise decent pup because of a disability that could be worked around. 

Rain flicked her gaze across the crowd, which she had noticed had gone quiet. She picked a wolf at random and tapped her claws on the hardened earth. "Let's continue this discussion. How would you, or do you, treat wolves who are born with or gain disabilities? Do you try to give them a good life? Or are they discarded as a weak link?" 

Zara's ears percked up. Even through she never had a wolf that could be called a weak link, her packmates would often get injured or sick, hunters more so than enywolf else.

,,We haven't yet had such a wolf, but my members.... er- the hunters often needhealing, afterall - they do the most dangerous job of all!"

As Zara shook her head, slightly emberassed from all the antantion she was given, her response continued:

,,IF such a case happens, I will personally make sure we find any and every way to give them a good, fufilled life - accourding to their wishes. But if they deside to bail and still have a potential - we'll give them a hope again!"

,,As for what I have to ask - sense the Winter has passed, tell me - are there any other tacticks you use to bring down big and more leathel prey?"

Oliver smiled. 

"My hunters usually get in groups that get along very well. They all work together perfectly, especially the ones who have been hunting for a long time. The younger groups take a bit, but they follow in the same path eventually."

"They've told me a lot about it, especially Mini and Haru," She laughed, "When they bring down big prey they each use their own strengths and work together. I think that's how they do it so well, and it helps prevent injuries too, though accidents happen." She looked in the distance fondly, "I'm very proud of them, they came up with it all on their own! I'm not too great at hunting, but they taught me some things."

"Anyways, sorry for rambling, hmm," She looked at a wolf in the crowd, "Do you believe in prophecies? Have you ever been given one?"

Stormstar's ears perked at the question. "Of course we believe in prophecies! Our two medicine wolves interpret them and share them with us when they get one from the spirits... We have been given two, so far!" Stormstar beckoned her medicine wolves forward and said: "These two, Gorsepetal and Hollywhisker, are the ones who communicate with us and our spirits!" Gorsepetal looked at the leaders with a confident and respectful gaze, while Hollywhisker's tail swished nervously.

"Well, time to ask!" She looked at the wolf Hollywhisker was trying hard not to look  at and asked:

"Do you have wolves who interpret signs, deliver prophecies and/or communicate with the spirits?"

Scathos cleared his throat and hummed upon hearing the question. His gaze flickered to Stormstar and looked the she-wolf over for a few moments. "We do in fact. Our Sage often hears the pleas of the long past. It was our sage who got word of my heir, and her eventual mate." The male gave a happy rumble. " She is often the wolf that many wolves will go to with problems, as she can ask for answers from the gods, and reserve answers."

He tilted his head and thought for a moment, then asked," How are names for your pups decided? Are they named after something, or is it random?"

Moonstone pondered the question for a moment, twitching his bushy tail.  He glanced over at his mates.  "it depends.  Sometimes it is by the things in nature that we see.  Sometimes it's what we see in the wolves' colors."  he glances cautiously at Sith Lord.  "Sometimes it's by a secret language only we know."  He looked at his two pups.  " we haven't decided on names yet for these two, but we will soon."

Moonstone then asked, "what do you do when you're not busy exploring or caring for your pack?"

Amaris had been listening for awhile and finally decided to join in.

''When I'm not with my pack I'm usually at a lake near our pack, it's very peaceful there. Sometimes I even nod off a bit.''

She stopped,

''There are so many beautiful noises, the birds singing, the rustle of leaves.....but the noise I love most is the wind. It's like a whisper in my ear. At times I believe it's my ancestors speaking to me through nature itself.''

''Oh look at me, talking nonsense. What's your favorite element? And why?''
